What is Printing?

Explainer-WhatIsPrinting.png

Printing allows guests to receive a physical copy of their photo captures. This can be achieved wirelessly via the AirPrint feature or with a wired printer, depending on the booth's model.

IMPORTANT: Printing is a feature exclusive to the Fiesta Pro Subscription. Wired printing is available only with the Guac and Chips photo booth and DNP620A printer. The Guac Booth, Salsa 1, and Salsa 2 Booth can be set up for wireless printing. The Tortilla Booth and 360 Events do not offer printing.

Discover more about the AirPrint feature.

You won't be able to see how many prints were taken per event in the Print Sharing tab. Some AirPrint dongles might provide this data within their own dashboards.

AirPrint may require additional hardware, like a compatible dongle and printer. Check out our recommended printers and dongles.

What To Know
Print Settings

Events can configured to print manually by using a print button on the sharing screen, automatically after each capture, or both.

Other printing settings include:

  • Maximum number of prints per session
  • Number of auto-print copies
  • Maximum number of prints at an event

The Advanced Printing Settings for Printing offer enhanced control over how Fiesta prints photo captures. The Advanced Printing settings manage two aspects of the printout:

  • Scale: the size of the image printer
  • Offset: the alignment of the image printed

These settings can be adjusted if the size of the image on the print-out or the alignment is not as expected.

What To Know
AirPrint

ACP3_side-350x350.png

AirPrint is the wireless connection system that is used to print from Salsa 1 and Salsa 2 Photo Booths, as these photo booths do not have a USB port available for printing. AirPrint can also be used on Guac Photo Booths for wireless printing if you do not own Chips, or Chips is not available.

What To Know
Chips Wired Printing

WhatToKnow-ChipsWiredPrinting.png

Wired Printing is one of two options when using the Chips printer with the Guac Booth. This method requires the Chips printer be plugged into the Guac Booth via a USB cable.

This method of connection is great for when there is no wireless connection available, or the wireless connection is experiencing issues or keeps cutting out. It ensures you can continue to provide printing as an option regardless of the location!

What To Know
Chips Wireless Printing

Wireless Printing is the other option available when using the Chips printer with the Guac Booth. Like an AirPrint dongle, the Chips printer is able to connect to the Guac Booth wirelessly.

Wireless connection has many perks, including the flexibility to place the Chips printer a farther distance away from the Guac Booth than a USB cable connection would allow. The cable is not in the way, and will not need to be taped down or otherwise protected.

What To Know
Photo Templates

Explainer-WhatIsPrinting.png

A Photo Template in the Design Studio is a frame that can hold between one to four photo captures, traditionally for printing.

Photo Templates provide the more traditional feel of photo booths, with either the option of 4x6 format or the classic 2x6 strip. These frames ensure captures are formatted in a more structured way while still allowing for additional details to be added. These details could be a "Happy Birthday" or "Congratulations" note, or even a logo for advertising at a convention or festival.
