What Is Printing?

Printing allows guests to receive physical copies of their captures during an event.

Depending on the booth being used, printing can be set up through AirPrint, Wired Printing, or Chips Wireless Printing.

Note: Printing is only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

Note: AirPrint may require additional hardware, such as a compatible AirPrint dongle and printer.

Check out our recommended printers and AirPrint dongles.

What To Know
Print Settings

WhatToKnow-PrintSettings.png

Events can be configured to print manually using a print button on the Sharing Screen, automatically after each capture session, or both.

Other Printing settings include:

  • Session Print Limit
  • Number of Auto Print Copies
  • Event Print Limit

Print Adjustments provide more control over how Photo captures are printed and manage two parts of printed output:

  • Scale: adjusts the size of the image on the print
  • Offset: adjusts the left-to-right and top-to-bottom alignment of the image on the print

These settings can be adjusted when the printed output does not look as expected.

What To Know
AirPrint

WhatToKnow-AirPrint.png

AirPrint is Apple technology that allows an iOS device to connect to a printer and print wirelessly. For printers that do not have AirPrint built in, such as the DNP DS620A, an AirPrint dongle is required, as it acts as the bridge between the printer, the iPad, and Fiesta.

AirPrint is the only compatible printing method for Salsa 1 and Salsa 2 Photo Booths. It can also be used with Guac for wireless printing when Chips is unavailable.

What To Know
Chips Wired Printing

WhatToKnow-ChipsWiredPrinting.png

Wired Printing is one of two printing options available when using Chips with Guac Photo Booth. This method requires the Chips printer, the DNP DS620A, to be connected to Guac with a USB printer cable.

This is the best option when no wireless connection is available, or when the wireless connection is unstable. Wired printing helps ensure printing remains available regardless of the venue’s network conditions.

Note: Wired Printing is only compatible with a DNP DS620A printer.

What To Know
Chips Wireless Printing

WhatToKnow-ChipsWirelessPrinting.png

Wireless Printing is another printing option available when using Chips with Guac, Salsa 1, or Salsa 2 Photo Booths. Unlike AirPrint, Chips Wireless Printing uses its own wireless connection method to communicate with the Fiesta iOS App.

Wireless Printing offers more placement flexibility by allowing the printer to be positioned farther from the booth than a USB cable connection would allow.

Note: Chips Wireless Printing requires a Photobooth Supply Co. Chips printer stand.

IMPORTANT: Chips is not sold as a standalone product, and must be purchased with a Guac Photo Booth.

What To Know
Photo Templates

WhatToKnow-PhotoTemplates.png

A Photo Template is a design that can hold between one and four Photo captures, and is commonly used for printing 2x6 photo strips and multi-capture 4x6 prints.

Printed Photo Templates create a more traditional photo booth print by combining captures into a designed layout for guests to take home.

Note: Printing does not require a Photo Template.
