What To Know
Adjusting Print Size
The DNP DS620A printer's default Media Size should remain set to 4x6 in the CUPS Settings.
Note: You may be required to enter the following username and password to access the Administration dropdown menu:
- Username: printer
- Password: password
To confirm the default Media Size:
- Open the Fiesta iOS App while Chips is connected to Guac
- Tap the Account icon in the upper-right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Chips Dashboard
- Tap Adjust Printer Media Size under Printer Settings
- Tap the Administration dropdown menu below Chips (Idle, Accepting Jobs, Shared)
- Tap Set Default Options
- Confirm that Media Size is set to 4x6. If it is not, tap 4x6
- Tap Set Default Options at the bottom of the page to save the setting
With the default Media Size set to 4x6, Fiesta automatically adjusts the printed output for Guac & Chips based on the Photo Template selected for the Event.
- A 4x6 Photo Template prints as one 4x6 photo.
- A Double 2x6 Photo Template prints as two matching 2x6 strips.
IMPORTANT: Do not change the default Media Size to 2x6. It must remain set to 4x6 for Fiesta to switch print sizes correctly when using Guac & Chips.
What To Know
Printing 2x6 Photo Templates
While connected to Chips, Fiesta can print one 4x6 photo or two matching 2x6 strips, depending on the Photo Template selected for the Event.
To print 2x6 Photo Templates:
- Set the Photo Template to Double 2x6 in Fiesta
Learn more about Fiesta’s Photo Template settings
Note: Single 2x6 printing is not officially supported with Chips. Selecting Double 2x6 in Fiesta allows the DNP DS620A to print two copies of the Photo Template on one 4x6 sheet, then cut the sheet into two 2x6 strips.
What To Know
Print Adjustments
Print Adjustments provide more control over how Photo captures and Photo Templates are printed.
Print Adjustments control two aspects of the printed output:
- Scale: The overall size of the printed image
- Offset: The alignment of the printed image on the page
Adjust these settings when the printed image appears too large, too small, or misaligned.
IMPORTANT: Print Adjustments do not affect digital shares. They only change how images are printed.
