What Is The Design Studio Editor?
The Design Studio Editor is the workspace for building and customizing Photo Templates and Overlays in Fiesta. Text, uploaded graphics, Backgrounds, and Frames can be added or adjusted directly on the design canvas.
Editing tools provide control over the design canvas, including Layers, positioning, alignment, zoom, and design layout.
Note: Design Studio is only available through the Fiesta Web App on computer or mobile web browsers.
What To Know
Editor Tools
The Design Studio Editor organizes the main design tools along the left navigation bar. Selecting a tool opens the related controls beside the design canvas. These tools include:
- Templates: Browse available pre-made designs
- Text: Add and customize text
- Frames: Add and position photo placeholders
- Upload: Add custom graphics and images
- Background: Customize the design Background
- Layers: Organize and manage design content
- Layout: Access available layout controls
How To
Access Design Studio Editor
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Select Create Design to begin a new design, or select an existing design to edit
- When creating a new design, select Photo Template or Overlay
- Select the desired layout to open the Design Studio Editor
What To Know
Text
The Text tool adds editable text to Photo Templates and Overlays. Text can be repositioned directly on the canvas and customized to match the design.
Available text controls include font and appearance settings for adjusting how the selected text displays within the design.
How To
Add And Edit Text
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Text from the left navigation bar
- Add a text layer from the Text panel, or select existing text on the canvas
- Update the text and available appearance settings
- Drag the text on the canvas to adjust its position
- Select Save in the upper-right
What To Know
Frames
Frames define where captures appear within a Photo Template. Frames can be positioned and sized on the canvas to build single-capture or multi-capture layouts.
Frame controls are available for Photo Templates. A Photo Template requires at least one Frame and can include up to four.
Note: Overlay designs do not include editable Frame controls.
How To
Add And Adjust Frames
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a Photo Template in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Frames from the left navigation bar
- Add the desired Frame to the Photo Template
- Select the Frame on the canvas
- Drag the Frame to adjust its position
- Adjust the Frame boundaries to change its size
- Select Save in the upper-right
What To Know
Uploads And Backgrounds
Upload adds custom graphics and images, such as logos or decorative design assets, to a design. Uploaded content can be positioned with other design content and managed from the Layers panel.
Background controls the area behind the other design content. Backgrounds can use a selected color or an available image, including images found through Unsplash search.
How To
Upload A Design Asset
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Upload from the left navigation bar
- Select the option to upload a file
- Select the design asset from the device
- Add the uploaded asset to the design canvas
- Adjust the asset's size and position as needed
- Select Save in the upper-right
How To
Change The Background
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Background from the left navigation bar
- Select a Background color, or choose an available Background image
- To find an image through Unsplash, enter a search term in the available search field
- Select the desired image to apply it as the Background
- Select Save in the upper-right
What To Know
Layers
The Layers panel displays the content in a design according to stacking order. Layers higher in the list appear in front of Layers positioned below them when design content overlaps.
Layers can be reordered without changing their location on the canvas. Individual Layers can also be hidden, locked to prevent changes, or deleted from the design.
How To
Manage Layers
- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Layers from the left navigation bar
- Drag a Layer up or down in the list to change its stacking order
- Select the Visibility control to show or hide a Layer as needed
- Select the Lock control to lock or unlock a Layer as needed
- Select the Delete control to remove a Layer as needed
- Select Save in the upper-right
What To Know
Canvas Controls
Canvas controls assist with positioning and reviewing design content. Alignment guides appear while moving content to help line up items on the canvas, while zoom controls change the canvas view without changing the finished design.
Multiple items can be selected when making changes that apply to more than one item. Undo and Redo are also available for reversing or restoring recent editing changes.
How To

- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select and move design content on the canvas to use the alignment guides
- Select multiple design items when a change needs to apply to more than one item
- Use the available Zoom controls to change the canvas view
- Select Undo to reverse a recent change
- Select Redo to restore a reversed change
- Select Save in the upper-right
What To Know
Designs In The Editor
The Templates panel provides access to Library and My Designs while working in the editor. Library designs provide pre-made starting points, while My Designs contains designs saved to the account.
The Filter control can narrow the visible designs to options that match the current layout.

- Log in to the Fiesta Web App
- Select Design Studio from the top navigation bar
- Open a design in the Design Studio Editor
- Select Templates from the left navigation bar
- Select Library to browse available pre-made designs
- Select My Designs to browse saved designs
- Select Filter to show designs that match the current layout as needed
- Select a design to apply it in the editor
What To Know
FAQ
Can alignment and spacing guides be turned on or off?
- No. Alignment and spacing guides appear automatically while arranging supported design content and do not include an on or off control.
Can I undo or redo a change while customizing a design?
- Yes. Select Undo to reverse a recent editing change or Redo to restore a change that was undone.
Does the Design Studio Editor include a library of icons or design elements?
- No. The Design Studio Editor does not include a separate icons or design elements library. Custom graphics can be added through Upload.
Can I upload a custom font to Design Studio Editor?
- No. The Design Studio Editor uses the fonts available in the Font list. Custom font files cannot be uploaded.
Can I select more than one item while customizing a design?
- Yes. Multiple design items can be selected together when working with supported editing controls.
Can I automatically resize an existing design to a different overall size?
- No. The Design Studio Editor does not include an automatic resize option for converting an existing design to another overall design size.
