Assembling The DNP DS620A
Required parts to assemble the DNP DS620A printer:
- DNP DS620A printer
- Printer media
- Paper roll
- Ink ribbon
- Printer AC power cable
- Printer USB-A to USB-B cable
How To
Unpack The Printer And Power On
- Open the larger box labeled DNP DP-DS620A
- Remove the paper catch tray, printer's AC power cable, USB cables, and all accessories
- Carefully lift the DNP DS620A printer from the box and place it on a clean, flat table
- Plug the square USB-B end of the printer's USB cable into the back of the printer
- Plug the AC power cable into the back of the printer
- Insert the pronged end of the AC power cable into a wall outlet
- Turn the printer on by flipping the switch on the front of the printer
How To
Unpack The Printer Media
- Open the smaller box labeled Media Set DS620 (4 x 6)
- Remove one paper roll and one ink ribbon
- Carefully open the ink-ribbon packaging
How To
Load The Printer Media
- Open the DNP DS620A printer's media loading mechanism by lifting up on the bar found at the bottom front of the printer, and pulling the printer tray forward
- Remove the ink ribbon tray from inside the printer by sliding it out, and set it on a flat surface
- Take the ink ribbon and insert it into the ink ribbon tray by aligning the spools into the proper slots
Note: Confirm that the ink ribbon is running along the top of the ink ribbon tray - Press the blue lever found on the side of the printer and lift to reveal the scraps tray and paper spool
- Remove the scraps tray by lifting it up
- Remove the paper spool and separate the two sides by gently pulling them apart
- Take the printer paper and insert each half of the paper spool into either end of the printer paper
- Remove any stickers on the paper, and load the printer paper with the paper feeding down
- Roll the paper spool down loosely until a double-beep confirms correct placement
Note: If no double-beep is heard, verify that the end of the paper roll is not pressed tightly against the spool - Reinsert the scraps tray into the front of the printer
- Close the printer door and push the printer back in until it locks into place
- Attach the paper catch tray to the front of the printer

Transporting The Printer
Always remove the printer paper roll and ink ribbon media before transporting the printer. Removing the media and reloading it into the printer at the venue will ensure both the printer and media are safe and ready to create beautiful prints.

What if the print media isn't registering when I install it?
- If the printer does not detect the printer media, remove the paper and ribbon, then reload them until a double-beep confirms correct placement.
When I opened the printer media, the ink ribbon was creased at the beginning. Should I still install it?
- The ink ribbon can still be used; roll the ribbon past the crease point, and install it following the instructions above.
I installed the printer media, now the lights on the printer are flashing. What does that mean?
- Flashing lights usually signal that the printer media may not be properly installed. Remove the printer media, reload it, and review the DNP troubleshooting guide if the issue persists.
