What is CUPS?

CUPS is the program that controls the Chips Brain. It holds all advanced controls for the printer, including fine-tuning the print color, adjusting the print media size, and troubleshooting certain issues when using Chips.

How To
Adjust Printer Media Size

  1. Open the Fiesta iOS App
  2. Tap the Account icon in the upper right (typically your initials)
  3. Tap Hardware Dashboard
  4. Tap Chips Dashboard
  5. Tap Adjust Printer Media Size under Printer Settings
  6. Tap the Administration dropdown menu
  7. Select Set Default Options
  8. Tap the Media Size dropdown menu
  9. Select 2x6*2 for 2x6 photo templates
  10. Tap Modify Defaults
  11. Tap Done in the top left corner to return to the Fiesta iOS App

Note: You may be required to enter a username and password to access the Administration menu.

Printing 2x6 Photo Templates

The printer is set up to print 4x6 images and Photo Templates by default. To print different sizes, the media size will need to be adjusted within the printer’s settings.

You can change the print media size by following these steps.

To print 2x6 Photo Templates:

Note: The DNP DS620A does not support printing single 2x6 Photo Templates.

The 2x6*2 setting allows the printer to print two copies of the Photo Template on one 4x6 piece of paper and cuts it into two 2x6 strips.

  • By default, the DNP DS620A printer is set up to print 4x6 images in CUPS. If your event includes a 2x6 Photo Template, you will need to adjust the print media size.
