What To Know
Connecting The AirPrint Dongle

After the Fiesta event has been set up, and you are setting up at your event, the next step is to set up printing through Fiesta.

There are three major steps to this process: first connecting the dongle to the iPad, then connecting the dongle to the internet via wifi, and finally connecting to the Fiesta iOS app.

After the AirPrint dongle is connected, you can change the print size to match the size of your desired prints. This is most commonly used to switch between 2x6 photo strips, and 4x6 full-size photos.

Note: The following steps in this article are for the Aircast Pro 3; while there are variations in these steps depending on which AirPrint dongle you use, the connection process will be similar across all devices.

What To Know
Printing Multiple Photo Templates

Using AirPrint, it is possible to print multiple Photo Templates only if all photo templates are the same print size. If the Photo Templates are different sizes - for example, one 2x6 template and one 4x6 template - it will not be possible to set up printing.

Currently, AirPrint only supports selecting one print size at a time.

The Chips printer is able to accommodate multiple print sizes at a time.

What To Know
Using Alternative Media Sizes

The recommended dye-sub printer media size to use when printing with the Fiesta Software is 4x6. This size is compatible with 2x6 and 4x6 Photo Template sizes.

However, due to high demand and global supply chain issues, 4x6 printer media may be difficult to find.

In these instances, most DNP printers support 6x8 printer paper and ink, which can be used for 2x6 and 4x6 prints on Fiesta.

When printing 2x6 Photo Templates with 6x8 printer media, make sure to set the Photo Template Printing Options to Double 2x6.

Note: using larger printer media may result in higher paper usage, particularly with 2x6 prints.

Disclaimer: we do not advise printing 6x6 Photo Templates on any media size, as the Photo Template will be stretched or squished for prints.
