Guac Flash Errors
The Guac Photo Booth Flash unit is an integral part of what makes the DSLR high-quality captures. While there are not many things that can occur, when the Guac Photo Booth Flash does not fire, the capture quality drops sharply.
Most flash issues can be resolved in a few minutes by following the steps below.
What To Know
Flash Not Working For Photos or GIFs
Possible causes:
- The Nikon AS-15 flash adapter is disconnected from the hotshoe (metal mount on top of the camera) on the Canon camera
- The Guac Photo Booth flash sync cable is not connected to the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter
- The flash power switch is turned off
- The modeling lamp bulb on the original Godox Flash unit (MS 300 model) is not fully screwed in
IMPORTANT: The newer Godox Flash unit (MS300V model) has the modeling light built-in, and no longer requires a separate modeling lamp bulb.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Confirm the Godox Flash unit is turned on and set to the correct settings
- Confirm that the flash sync cable is firmly connected to the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter
- Verify the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter is securely connected to the hotshoe on top of the Canon camera
How To
Resolve Flash Not Working For Photos Or GIFs
Before starting, confirm the flash is plugged into power:
- Turn the flash off (if the power is turned on)
- Unplug the sync cable from the Godox Flash unit
- Turn the knob on the Guac Photo Booth rear door to unlock the back door
- On the Canon camera, locate the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter on top of the camera
- To unlock the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter, rotate the dial counter-clockwise, that is located below the word LOCK on the adapter
- Remove the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter by sliding it off the hot shoe (metal mount on top of the camera)
- Unscrew the sync cable from the Canon camera
- Check for any damage to the threaded ring on the sync cable
- If no damage is present, securely reattach the sync cable to the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter
- Reattach the flash adapter to the camera by sliding it into the hot shoe (metal mount on top of the camera), and ensure the sync cable faces the front of the booth
- Lock the flash adapter by rotating the dial until it is tightened
- Plug the sync cable back into the Godox Flash unit
- Turn the flash on
- Check to confirm that the Godox Flash unit is set to:
- Modeling lamp: 100%
- Power: 1/2

What To Know
Flash Beeps After Every Photo
Possible causes:
- The sound is turned on for the flash
How To
Resolve Flash Beeps After Every Photo
- Turn on the Flash
- Press the Volume button on the back of the Godox Flash unit once to silence the beeps
What To Know
Flash Randomly Firing
Possible causes:
- Another device in the area is on the same wireless channel
How To
Resolve Flash Randomly Firing
- Press and hold the GR/CH button for two seconds until the channel ID number blinks
- Rotate the dial to select any channel between 25 and 29
- Press the dial to confirm the selection
- To remove the wireless tower icon at the top left of the Godox Flash unit's display screen, press and hold the GR/CH and S1/S2 buttons at the same time
Note: Channels 1 through 4 are the most common wireless channels. Selecting a channel in the high 20s reduces the likelihood of another device being on the same channel, which causes accidental misfires.
