Salsa Live Gallery Troubleshooting

 

Trouble with your event’s Live Gallery? These troubleshooting steps can help.

 


If the Live Gallery Won't Load

 

If your event’s Live Gallery loads to a blank page that says “No Photos Here”, it is most likely because Full Gallery View is turned off in the Live Gallery settings.

To turn Full Gallery View on:

  1. Log in to the Salsa web app

  2. Select the event

  3. Click Configure Event

  4. Click Live Gallery

  5. Toggle Full Gallery View on

When Full Gallery View is turned off, guests will still be able to view individual captures that they shared to themselves, but they will not be able to view the entire gallery.

If Full Gallery View is turned on but you are still seeing this page, it may be because the web address for the Live Gallery is incomplete or incorrect.

To get the Live Gallery web address:

  1. Log in to the Salsa web app

  2. Select the event

  3. Click Live Gallery under the Download & Export button

  4. Copy the web address from your browser’s address bar


What To Do

If Captures Are Missing

 

If captures are missing from the Live Gallery or if the gallery does not appear up to date, most likely captures are still uploading from the Salsa iOS app.

To check the queue for pending capture uploads:

  1. Launch the Salsa iOS app

  2. Exit the event if one is running

  3. Check the top of the screen for a green or red banner

If there is a green banner: captures are still uploading.

  • The banner will display a number of captures and shares left to be uploaded. Depending on internet speed, this may take some time to complete.

If there is a red banner: Salsa is offline.

  • The banner will display a notice that Salsa if offline and some features are unavailable, including uploads to the Live Gallery. To resume uploading to the Live Gallery, connect the iPad to a steady Wi-Fi network and open the Salsa iOS app.

IMPORTANT: The iPad needs to be awake and the Salsa iOS app needs to be open for captures to be uploaded. Turning off the iPad display, closing the Salsa iOS app, or disconnecting from Wi-Fi will pause uploads.


What To Do

If Guests Can't Download Captures

 

If guests are unable to download captures from the Live Gallery, most likely Social Sharing is turned off in the Live Gallery settings.

To turn Social Sharing on:

  1. Log in to the Salsa web app

  2. Select the event

  3. Click Configure Event

  4. Click Live Gallery

  5. Toggle Social Sharing on

If you want guests to be able to download captures, but don’t want the Live Gallery to display links to post to social media account, you can turn social media options off by clicking the checkbox next to the name of each social media platform.
