How do I change Queso camera and lens settings?

While the camera lens itself is adjustable, we suggest changing your camera settings within the application before attempting to adjust the physical settings on the lens. You can find these settings by navigating to the booth settings:

Due to each event space having different dimensions and ambient lighting, there is not a recommended setting. We suggest taking test shots prior to the event and adjusting accordingly to you and your client's preference.

If you are in your house without a backdrop, there might be a lot of light being pushed around and not reflected in a way Queso expects. In this case, try toggling the Blue and green backdrop setting, turning the modeling lamp on or off, or changing the darkness slider and ambient light button.

If you are still not getting the look and feel you desire, you can always go on to change the physical camera settings.

What are the difference between the front and back screens?

One of the most unique features of Queso is the incorporation of two screens on a single device. This revolutionary feature allows for the guest to move swiftly through the photobooth experience. Instead of using one screen to complete all tasks, guests will interact with each screen to perform particular functions. What does this mean for you? Shorter wait times, faster photo capturing, and happier guests -- all in all, a more successful event!

The front screen (underneath Queso camera) will always be your main display while your back screen acts as a secondary monitor. When you turn Queso on, both screens will power up. If you try to open up a window on the back screen, it will automatically appear on the front screen. You may drag a window to your back screen (as you could also drag a window to another monitor on a desktop computer), but that should not be necessary. The back screen will be most useful during the photobooth experience!

The Front Screen - Your Primary Hub

The front screen will allow you to customize your events and run the photobooth experience!

Within the QuesOS application, the 15.6” front screen will serve as the primary hub of the program. As an owner, this is where you will customize the photo capture experience for each event by uploading backgrounds, choosing templates and layouts, customizing theme settings, and selecting features to incorporate. Guests will use the front screen to start their photobooth session and see a live view of themselves throughout photo capture. We’ve even incorporated Pose Tips for guests to refer to when taking their photos!

The Back Screen - Your Sharing Station

Guests can use the back screen to share their images!

Once guests have finished posing for their photos, they will need to migrate behind Queso to the 13.3” back screen, which acts as a photo sharing platform. This screen will automatically populate with images taken from Queso Camera. From here, guests can click on their particular photo session to see their templated print, along with each of the original images from their shoot. Guests can then decide if they would like to print, text, or email their photos. They may also view and email any videos that they filmed during their session.

This dual screen system is ideal for busy events; guests no longer have to prolong their photobooth experience while waiting for phone number and emails to be inserted. As Queso computer simultaneously snaps photos and shares the images, your guests (and clients) will love that everyone gets to participate in the Queso experience!

The back screen can also be utilized for branding purposes. Within settings, you are able to enabling Branding Mode which will allow you to upload a photo or video to be displayed on the back screen. This can be used to place the name of your business or the event you're hosting.
