Whether you need to provide guests with information on how their captures can be used for marketing purposes or set the terms and conditions or rules for a contest, the Disclaimer Screen is a great way to let them know before they use your booth – either in-person or virtually.

What is Disclaimer Screen?
A Disclaimer Screen allows you to present important terms and conditions or information about rights and permissions to use captures taken by guests.
The disclaimer is presented to guests after tapping to start the booth and it works for both in-person events on the Salsa iOS app and Virtual Booth events on the guests’ own device.
How To
Add a Disclaimer Screen
To add a Disclaimer Screen to an event:
Log into the Salsa web app
Select an event or create a new event
Click Configure Event
Click Event Interface
Toggle on Show Disclaimer
Enter in a Disclaimer Title and/or Disclaimer Body with the desired text
The disclaimer supports up to 30 characters for the title and up to 10,000 characters for the body.
Important: The Disclaimer Screen will display the default placeholder text if it is not changed.

What To Know
Hybrid Events with Disclaimer Screen
The Disclaimer Screen can be used for either in-person events running on the Salsa iOS app or in Virtual Booth events.
If you’re running a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual, the same Disclaimer Screen can be used for both experiences.
In some cases, the in-person and virtual experiences may require different terms and conditions.
Since both share the disclaimer title and body, you will want to add the terms for both with a clear explanation for which terms apply to which experience.
What To Know
Older Events with Disclaimer Screen
Events created on Salsa 1.13.0 or earlier with Disclaimer Screen turned on will still display the disclaimer image added to the event.
To upgrade your Disclaimer Screen to the new text format, simply click into the title and body text fields and either edit the text to fit your needs or just save the placeholder text.
If you’re already using a disclaimer image, you will not be able to update image for any previous events nor will you be able to revert the Disclaimer Screen back to an image after editing the text fields.
