Queso Printer Features

 

Your booth uses is a Mitsubishi K60DW-S – a versatile printer that is perfect for Queso. The K60 includes the following features:

  • Ink Rewind & Roll Back Function – The rewind function optimizes 4×6 prints by maximizing media usage reducing waste – saving operation cost

  • Clear, High-Quality Images – The image processing circuits enable smooth, natural images for sharp, high-quality prints with high density, sharp, life-like images for portrait photography

  • Matte or Glossy Finish – Provides various texture print finish similar to Satin finishes

  • Multiple-Print Sizes – Flexibility to print all of Queso’s support dimensions of 2×6, 4×6, 6×6 and 6×8 all on the same roll of paper

  • Fast Print Speed – Approx. 11.4 sec per 4×6 print

  • Front Loading Mechanism – Designed for quick and easy front access for loading and unloading media.


How To

Set Up Your Queso Printer

 

Simple steps to make sure your Queso is able to send print jobs to your printer

  1. Tap the Magnifying Glass icon on your taskbar to search

  2. Type in Printer and select Printers & Scanners

  3. Tap Mitsubishi CP-K60DW-S

  4. Tap Manage

  5. Tap Set as default - all print jobs will now be sent to your K60 printer

  6. Tap Printer Preferences and see that 4x6 is selected - Queso will automatically set the paper size depending on your template selection. Your Photo Strips will also automatically cut when you select a 2x6 print layout in Queso

  7. Close the Printers & Scanners window

Important: Make sure to connect the printer cable underneath Queso to the same USB port each time. Changing the USB port can create duplicate printers in Windows, which may prevent Queso from printing.


How To

Load Ink and Paper

 

Opening The Printer

  1. Connect the printer to power

  2. Remove the catch tray from the front of the printer if it is current attached

  3. Remove the front of the enclosure to reveal the printer by loosening the two black knobs from underneath the enclosure

  4. Press the Open button found on the right side and slide the printing unit out

Loading Paper

  1. Lower the front door using the latch on the top middle of the printing unit

  2. Remove the paper spool and place them on either end of the roll of paper

  3. Place the roll back into the printing unit with the end of the paper facing outward and down

  4. Feed the paper into the slot and continue until the printer makes a beeping noise

  5. Close the door

Loading Ink

  1. Remove the ink tray from the back of of the printing unit

  2. Place the ink ribbon into the appropriate sides so that the ends of the roll fit into the tray

  3. Slide the tray back into the printing unit


What To Know

Transporting Your Queso Printer

 

Make sure to always take your Paper and Ink Roll out of the printer before you transport it to make sure you never cause internal damage to the printer!


How To

Troubleshoot Printing Errors

When the printer is not working as expected please follow these steps

  1. Make sure your K60 printer is set as the default printer (refer to Setting Up Your Queso Printer)

  2. Ensure that there is only one instance of your K60 printer

  3. Check that printer and power cables are firmly plugged in

  4. Using the Printer’s Status Lights indicator on the right, determine the issue and probable resolution on the printer’s manual.

  5. After going through these steps, if the problem persists, please contact us and share with us the results of your previous troubleshooting steps.


How To

Fix a Ripped or Torn Ink Ribbon

If the ink ribbon happens to get ripped or torn, don’t throw it away! It can still be used so long as there is ink left on the roll.

Follow these steps to repair the ribbon:

  1. Grab some thin scotch tape

  2. Tape over the two films make sure that the edges align

  3. Roll the taped up section into the orange "take up" side

  4. Place the ribbon back into the printer 

  5. Close the printer and you should be good to go! 

If printing errors persist, then you may need to replace with a new ink ribbon.
