What Is the Back Screen?

One of Queso’s unique features is the built-in back screen.

This screen is primarily used as a share station which allows guests to share captures while other guests take captures at the same time.

The back screen can also be set to different modes to cycle through captures in a slideshow, display an image or video for branding purposes, or show a QR code to the Live Gallery for a hands-free experience.

How To

Change the Back Screen Mode

To change the Back Screen Mode:

  1. Launch QuesOS

  2. Select an event or create a new event

  3. Tap Back Screen

  4. Toggle on the desired mode

Note: Some modes require additional options selected before exiting this screen. Read below for more information on each Back Screen Mode.

What To Know

QR Code Mode

QR Code Mode allows for hands-free sharing and pairs well with Hands-Free Mode for a completely contactless photo booth experience.

When QR Code Mode is turned on the back screen will display a slideshow of captures from the event and a QR code below that will take guests to the full Live Gallery.

Important: The Live Gallery with Gallery Access turned on is required for the QR code to work. Turning off Live Gallery or Gallery Access will prevent guests from sharing their captures.

Note: Turning on QR Code Mode for the back screen will automatically turn on QR Code sharing.

Gallery Mode

Gallery Mode is the default back screen setting for new events.

Gallery Mode allows guests to browse captures from the event and share or print them.

If Individual Images is turned on under Printing Settings only the templated image will be shown and available to guests and the individual photos from that session will be hidden.

What To Know

Slideshow Mode

Slideshow Mode will play through all of the captures on the back screen, one by one.

Note: When Slideshow Mode is turned on all sharing will take place on the front screen immediately after capture.

There are additional settings for Slideshow Mode that need to be adjusted before you can save the changes:

Slideshow Options
This allows you to determine how photo captures are displayed

  • Single: Only individual photos from templates are shown

  • Template: Only templates are shown

  • Both: Both individual photos and templates are shown

Slideshow Background
This allows you to upload an image to be used as the background for the slideshow. By default, Queso will use a blank, black background.

  • Required file type: JPG

  • Required size: 1080 x 1920

What To Know

Branding Mode

Branding Mode allows you to display a still image or video (with or without audio) on the back screen.

The Branding Mode can be used for promotional/marketing purposes (like displaying your company name, social media) or other important information such as operation hours.

Note: When Branding Mode is turned on all sharing will take place on the front screen immediately after capture.

There are additional settings for Branding Mode that need to be adjusted before you can save the changes:

Branding Mode Background

  • Required file types: JPG or MP4

  • Required size: 1080 x 1920

Audio Options

If you’re using an MP4 video with audio as the Branding Mode background you have the option to have the audio played from the booth.

What To Know

Disable Mode

Disable Mode allows you to turn off the back screen entirely for the event. This will display a blank, black screen on the back.

This is useful if the booth is set up in a location where the back screen is not accessible or visible by guests.

Note: When Disabled Mode is turned on all sharing will take place on the front screen immediately after capture.
