Issue Summary

Some users may experience an issue where the verification steps are completed after changing their account email address, but the email address does not register in Fiesta.

Common Ways Customers Describe This Issue

Customers may describe this issue in one of the following ways:

  • I just updated my account email address. Why am I unable to log in with the new email address?
  • My account email did not update after verification
  • I verified my new email, but Fiesta still shows the old email address
  • The email change confirmation link does not work
  • Fiesta says my email was verified, but the account email did not change
  • I cannot change my account email address
  • Updating my email only works when I am logged out

 

Who Is Affected

This issue may affect customers using:

  • Fiesta iOS App versions 1.7.1+
  • Fiesta Web App versions 1.7.1+

 

What Happens

When an account email address is changed and the verification process is completed, Fiesta may not update the account to the newly verified email address.

 

Workaround Steps

  1. Manually copy the verification link from the verification email
  2. Paste and navigate to the link in a web browser that is not currently logged into Fiesta
    • Note: We recommend pasting the link into an incognito or private browsing window to ensure that Fiesta is not logged in.

 

When Will This Be Fixed?

Our team is actively working on a fix. We do not have an exact release date yet. This article will be updated when a fix is available.
