What is the Guest Interface?

Explainer-WhatIsTheGuestInterface.png

The Guest Interface encompasses all screens from the Start Event activation that lead directly to a screen guests will interact with. These screens are what create a Fiesta Event, that bring each Photo Booth to life!

They set the tone for the captures, can often provide a bit more information on the event, and are what make PBSCO Photo Booth events so fantastic.

What To Know
Starting An Event

WhatToKnow-StartingAnEvent.png

When an In-Person Event is opened in the Fiesta iOS Software, the option to Start Event will be available. On the main Event Dashboard, the Start Event button is located to the left of the Configure Event button on the right side. When in the Event Configuration settings, the Start Event button will be located on the right side alone.

Either of these will launch the main event, opening to the Admin Menu with all launch options enabled.

What To Know
Quick Action Menu

WhatToKnow-QuickActionMenu.png

Need to access the full Event's Gallery immediately? Need to exit the event without entering the Admin Menu? The Quick Action Menu is a feature that allows instant access to some of the most needed attendant-side features when running a live event.

Instead of being taken to a new screen when tapping the upper left corner, a small dropdown menu appears that offers the option to exit the event, access a Quick Gallery of all captures from the event, or access to the full Admin menu.

What To Know
Tap To Start

WhatToKnow-TapToStart.png

The Tap To Start screen is the first screen guests will see when using the booth. It is the eye-catcher, the attention grabber, the focal moment that prompts guests to interact regardless of the event.

A custom Tap To Start screen can be uploaded to each event, or one of the Tap To Start screens in the Fiesta Library can be selected. Whether a static image is used or a short animation, it is the heart of the Event's Photo Booth Experience.

From the Tap To Start screen, guests will tap the screen to proceed. In each session, they will be prompted to select options, take their captures, and then share or print the captures. The Tap To Start screen is also where the Admin menu can be accessed to either exit the event or change which mode is active.

What To Know
Disclaimer

WhatToKnow-Disclaimer.png

The Disclaimer, if enabled, will appear immediately after the Tap To Start screen. Guests will be presented with the information added to the Disclaimer, and must accept the terms to continue. If they refuse the terms, they will return to the Tap To Start screen.

Often, this is where guests are informed of any email or phone number data collection, disclosure information if the captures will be used to advertise a business or event.

Note: Disclaimer is only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

What To Know
Selection Screens

WhatToKnow-SelectionScreens.png

The Selection Screens encompass the next few screens guests experience. These screens allow them to choose between different settings options approved to use for the event.

These selections encompass the Capture Mode, Photo Template or Overlay design, Background Design, Face Effects, and Filters. Each session allows the choice of one of each of these features before the captures are taken, so guests can customize their captures within the limits of the Event Settings.

The Modes Selection Screen will always appear, except if only one feature is toggled on and the Skip Mode Selection option is also enabled. Skip Mode Selection allows for a more seamless experience for guests when only one Capture Mode is enabled.

For all other features, Selection Screens will only appear if the feature is toggled on and has more than one option available.

Note: The Filters selection screen, when active, will appear after the captures are taken, while all other selection screens appear before the capture is taken.

What To Know
Capture Process

WhatToKnow-CaptureProcess.png

After guests make all necessary choices in the Selection Screens, the next step is the capture process. If Pose Tips is enabled, one of the active poses will play first. After, the countdown will begin with a live feed of the camera's view displayed.

The countdown will run for the time set in the Event Settings, and in the last few seconds will point toward the camera, depending on whether a DSLR, iPad, or 360 event is selected, and where the iOS device's camera is located.

After the countdown has finished, the capture will begin. This could include a number of photo captures or a short video taken depending on the Capture Mode selected. Once finished, the captures will be displayed for the guests to approve or retake.

What To Know
Delete And Retake

WhatToKnow-DeleteAndRetake.png

If a capture doesn't turn out the way the guest would like - let's say they sneezed at the worst time - they can opt to retake the capture to avoid any embarrassment!

When the Retake option is selected, guests will be taken to the first available selection screen or the main capture screen, bypassing the Tap To Start screen. The original capture will be fully deleted, unavailable for viewing in the Live Gallery and with no ability to be retrieved from the servers as the capture is never saved to the server.

What To Know
Sharing

All Sharing options enabled for the event will appear along the bottom of the screen after captures are taken and processed. This includes the ability to print, email, or text their captures.

Email and Text Sharing options can also be used to collect emails and phone numbers from guests. This is useful for conventions, video confessionals, or networking events.
