How To Duplicate An Event

 

Duplicating an event is a quick way to build multiple, identical events, or when setting up for a hybrid event with an in-person and Virtual Event.

What Is Duplicating An Event?

 

Duplicating an event is an easy way to avoid entering the same basic information for each event you create.

When using the Duplicate feature, basic fields such as your sharing or business information will be automatically populated into the newly created event.

Note: you can also use the Company Information toggle to transfer default business information across events


How To

Duplicate An Event

 

To Duplicate an Event:

  1. Log in to Fiesta

  2. Click the three dots next to the name of the event you wish to duplicate

  3. Click Duplicate event

  4. Enter the new event name, date, and select the event type

  5. Click Duplicate

Note: If the duplicated event is going to have a different event type, some event settings may not copy over.

What To Know

Changing The Event Type When Duplicating An Event

 

When duplicating an event, you will have the option to change the Event Type to iPad, DSLR, 360, or Virtual. Changing event type may affect some event settings for the duplicated event.

When changing the event type from DSLR to iPad:

  • Capture modes that do not have a photo template or overlay will default to 3:4 Portrait aspect ratio

  • Slo-Mo Mode will not be available

  • All camera settings will be reset to default

When changing the event type from iPad to DSLR:

  • Capture modes that do not have a photo template or overlay will default to 4:3 Landscape aspect ratio

  • All camera settings will be reset to default

When changing the event type from iPad/DSLR to Virtual:

  • All captures will be set to 1:1 square aspect ratio

  • Photo templates will not be available

  • Slo-Mo Mode will not be available

  • The Tap to Start and Background screen will be removed

  • Green Screen, Pose Tips, and Filters will not be available

  • Text, AirDrop, AirPrint, and QR code sharing will not be available

When changing the event type from Virtual to iPad/DSLR:

  • Capture modes that do not have a photo template or overlay will default to 3:4 Portrait (iPad) or 4:3 Landscape (DSLR) aspect ratios

  • Background and Start Button will be removed

  • Stickers will not be available

  • Photo Background Removal will not be available

What To Know

Photo Template And Overlay Settings

 

When duplicating events, it is important to keep in mind the Photo Template or Overlay design is connected to the duplicated event, but not duplicated.

Any changes that are made to the Photo Template or Overlay in the Design Studio will be made to the base file, and will alter the Photo Template or Overlay on the original event.

To make changes to the Photo Template or Overlay without affecting the original event, it is necessary to duplicate the Photo Template or Overlay.

To duplicate your Photo Template or Overlay:

  1. log into Fiesta

  2. Select the Design Studio tab

  3. Under Recent Designs, navigate to the design you wish to duplicate

  4. Select the three dots on the Design’s tile

  5. In the menu, select Duplicate

After the design is duplicated, navigate back to your duplicated event and select the newly duplicated Photo Template or Overlay!
