Explainer

What Are Pose Tips?

Pose tips are short animations that play before the countdown starts that give guests suggestions on how they can pose for their captures.

You can either select all of the available poses to be played randomly or choose a specific collection of poses.

Note: Pose tips are available for in-person events ran on the Salsa iOS app. Pose tips are not available for Virtual Booth events.

How To

Turn on Pose Tips

To turn on Pose Tips:

  1. Log in to the Salsa web app

  2. Select an event or create a new event

  3. Click Configure Event

  4. Click Capture Settings

  5. Click Pose Tips

  6. Toggle on Pose Tips

Note: After turning on Pose Tips, one or more poses will need to be selected in order for them to be added to an event and shown to guests.

How To

Select Pose Tips

Salsa has over 20 different poses that you can add to your event.

You can select all of them, or choose one or more specific poses to be shown randomly before each capture.

To select Pose Tips for an event:

  1. Log in to the Salsa web app

  2. Select an event or create a new event

  3. Click Configure Event

  4. Click Capture Settings

  5. Click Pose Tips

  6. Toggle on Pose Tips (if it is not already)

  7. Click one or more poses, or click Select All to add all of the poses to your event

Note: You can preview a pose tip’s animation by hover your mouse cursor over the pose.

What To Know

Using Pose Tips

If multiple pose tips are selected, then a different pose tip will be played before each capture.

If only one pose tip is selected, then that pose tip will be played before each capture.

For photo templates with two or more pictures or GIFs, this means that a pose tip will be played before each picture or frame.

Suggestion: It is recommended that you select, at least, as many poses as there are pictures within a template or frames in a GIF.

For example, if your event is using a photo template with three pictures, you will want to select at least three different poses. This way each capture is presented with a different pose.

If your event has GIF mode turned on and set to four frames within the GIF settings, you will want to have at least four poses selected.
