Need to print from Salsa but don’t have an AirPrint dongle? You can use a Windows computer, Dropbox, and software to get it set up for printing. 🖨

How To

Set up Salsa iOS App

 

You will need to adjust two settings within the Salsa iOS app:

Dropbox

  1. Launch the Salsa iOS app

  2. Tap the Settings gear from the All Events screen

  3. Tap Dropbox and then Connect Dropbox

  4. Sign into your Dropbox account

Camera Settings

  1. Select the event you want to set up printing

  2. Tap the Settings gear from the Event Dashboard

  3. Tap Camera Settings

  4. Tap Aspect Ratio and select 2:3

Set up Windows Computer

 
  1. Download and install Breeze Hotfolder Prints

  2. Download, install, and sign into Dropbox

  3. Connect the printer to the computer


How To

Set up Hotfolder Prints

 

Launch the Breeze Hotfolder Prints application and direct the Breeze Hotfolder software to watch the Dropbox folder Salsa created for your event.

Note: If you do not see that folder, take a test photo in the event and it will create a new folder.

Within the Hotfolder Print application:

  • Set number of images to 1

  • Enable custom layout by checking the box

Adjust the settings:

  1. Click the Settings button.

  2. To add an image, first select the number 1 from the drop down. This should create a green box. 

  3. Click the three dots on the right to adjust the size of the box.

    Note: For a 4x6, enter in: Left = 0, Top = 0, Width = 1844, Height = 1240:

  4. Click Okay to go back to the home screen

  5. Click Okay on the home screen

You will now see a screen that will check your folder every few seconds for a new file.

Minimize the screen – do not close it. Your computer will now print everything that is saved to the designated folder.
