What is GIF Mode?

Screenshot 2024-11-26 at 11.31.13 AM.png

GIF mode takes a series of photos and combines them to create a short animated video capture, similar to a slideshow.

You can adjust how many photos are taken, how fast photo cycle animation plays, and how much time each photo displays before switching to the next photo in the animation.

GIFs are exported as MP4 videos, so they are compatible across all devices and social media platforms.

What To Know
Playback Speed

Playback Speed is the speed at which each GIF photo is shown in the GIF cycle. The Playback Speed and Number of Frames work together in controlling the visual appearance of the end result.

A slow Playback Speed gives an effect closer to a slideshow, while a faster Playback Speed will look more similar to a flip book animation.

What To Know
Number Of Frames

The Number Of Frames for a GIF capture controls the number of individual photos taken for the GIF. The fewer the captures, the less animated and more like a slideshow the capture looks like. The Number of Frames can range from two (2) to six (6).

Number of Frames works together with Playback Speed to give either more of an animated or more of a slideshow appearance for GIF captures.

What To Know
Timer

The Timer adjusts the amount of time between each photo taken to make the GIF. The Timer can range from 1 second to 5 seconds.

The shorter the Timer is set between captures, the less time guests have to adjust their pose, and the longer the time the more time guests have to move into a different pose. A shorter Timer can be used to capture a more stop-motion look, while a longer Timer can be used for more of a short slideshow appearance.
