Event Auto Start
The Event Auto Start feature allows a booth running a Fiesta event to be set up prior to the event and launch the event on time without an attendant returning. The event will remain disabled until the event start time, and will deactivate the booth once the set end time has been reached.
When the event is disabled, the LED ring will also be turned off to prevent any issues.
Note: This feature is currently only available for iPad and DSLR Events.
IMPORTANT: For a limited time, we are offering complimentary access for Pro subscribers so you can experience the full benefits of this feature firsthand. PBSCO will provide an update when the Free For A Limited Time access period is over at a future date.
What To Know
When To Use Event Auto Start
Event Auto Start provides new possibilities for drop-off booths, whether the event will be running only for one night, or for a week-long event! Instead of having an attendant at the booth for the event start and end time, or needing to arrive to turn the event on and off, the Event Auto Start will allow for everything to be handled automatically and remotely.
A few examples of situations to use Event Auto Start include:
- Drop off booths
- Full day rentals
- Attendant run events
- Permanent installations
How To
Toggle On Event Auto Start
- Log in to Fiesta
- Select an event or create a new event
- Select Configure Event
- Select the Interface tab
- Toggle on Event Auto Start
Note: For the Event Auto Start to properly launch, the event must be running on the iPad screen.
What To Know
Adjusting Event Auto Start Time
To adjust the Event Auto Start start and end time, it is necessary to adjust the Event Start and End Time under the Event Info.
If a client were to reach out about adjusting the start time to be earlier or later, as long as the device is connected to the internet the Start Date, End Date, Start Time, and End Time can be adjusted remotely, and will automatically update on the booth.
If the event must be launched immediately, it is possible to bypass the Event Auto Start. However, if the Event Autostart is bypassed, the event will not end automatically at the set date and time.
How To
Bypass Event Auto Start
- Double tap the upper left corner to access the Admin menu
Note: if Event Passcode is enabled, enter the passcode - Select Start Photo Booth
- Select Start Booth Now
Note: Bypassing the Event Auto Start and starting the event immediately will prevent the booth from automatically stopping the event at the originally set time.
What To Know
Event Auto Start And Multi-Day Events
When running multi-day events or events that extend past midnight, it is important to remember the Start Time and End Time are meant to be set to correspond with the correct time according to the Start Date and End Date.
For example, if the event was a New Years' Eve party that ran from 8pm on December 31 to 2am on January 1, the Start Time would be set to 8pm and the End Time would be set to 2am.
The End Date and End Time can be extended as many times as is needed for permanent installment booths, or the Event's Start and End Date and Time can be updated remotely daily.
