iPad And DSLR Event Effects

iPad and DSLR Event Effects are interactive effects available for iPad and DSLR events in Fiesta. These effects allow guests to customize their experience before or after a capture, depending on the effect being used.

iPad and DSLR Event Effects include Background Removal, Face Effects, Pose Tips, and Filters.

What To Know
Background Removal

Background Removal in Fiesta replaces the background behind guests with a selected image or video during capture. This can be used to create themed experiences or add branded Virtual Backgrounds to an event.

Background Removal supports both Green Screen and AI Background Removal methods.

Enable Background Removal

1. Log in to Fiesta
2. Create or select an event
3. Select Configure Event
4. Select the Effects tab
5. Toggle on Background Removal

What To Know
Face Effects

Face Effects in Fiesta include Masks and Glam, two of Fiesta’s augmented-reality (AR) effects.

When turned on, Fiesta uses facial detection and image processing to alter the guests’ faces, or digitally place the selected mask onto their faces.

Notes:

• If more than one Face Effect is enabled for an event, guests are presented with options to choose from before the capture is taken. Guests can opt out by selecting the default option.
• If only one Face Effect is enabled, it is applied automatically to all captures by default. To allow guests to opt out, toggle off Automatically Apply Face Effect To All Captures.
• When a Face Effect is applied to a capture, it begins from the first frame of the animation, regardless of which frame was visible before the capture started.

Note: Face Effects are only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

1. Log in to Fiesta
2. Create or select an event
3. Select Configure Event
4. Select the Effects tab
5. Toggle on Face Effects
6. Select the Face Effects you want to use

What To Know
Pose Tips

Pose Tips in Fiesta are short emoji animations that play before the countdown begins to suggest poses for guests.

You can enable all available Pose Tips to play randomly, or choose a specific set of Pose Tips for the event.

Note: Pose Tips are only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

4. Select the Effects tab
5. Toggle on Pose Tips
6. Select the Pose Tips you want to use, or select Select All

What To Know
Filters

Filters in Fiesta change the overall look and coloration of captures. From black-and-white to warm film-style effects, Filters can help create a distinct photo and video aesthetic for an event.

Notes:

• If more than one Filter is enabled for an event, guests are presented with Filter options after a capture is taken.
• If only one Filter is enabled, that Filter is applied automatically to all captures.

FAQ

Can I add all of the event effects to a single event?

• Yes, you can add as many event effects as you'd like to an event and enable multiple options for each effect.
• Older iOS devices may see a slight drop in performance when a large number of event effects are enabled.

Can I use the Background Removal feature without a physical green screen backdrop?

• Yes. You can select AI Background Removal as the removal method within the Background Removal settings.

Do guests need to use the Face Effects that are enabled in an event?

• No, guests can opt out of applying Face Effects by selecting the default option before a capture.
• If only one Face Effect is enabled, toggle off the Automatically Apply Face Effect To All Captures setting.

Can I add the same iPad and DSLR event effects to Virtual or 360 events?

• No, Virtual and 360 events have event effects that are specific to their event type.

  Note: 360 Events are only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.
