iPad Installation Walkthrough

In this video, you’ll learn how to:

  • Remove and replace the faceplate.

  • Install the iPad into Guac.

  • Securely connect the iPad to provide power and communication with the Canon camera, LED ring and printer.

Step One

Remove the Faceplate

  1. Place the Guac head on a clean, flat surface with the camera facing up

  2. Using a Philips head screwdriver, remove the six (6) screws found along the faceplate and put them aside in a safe place

  3. Remove the faceplate from the Guac head and put it aside

Step Two

Install the iPad

  1. Pick up and power on the iPad

  2. Connect the USB-C power cable to the bottom of the iPad

    • Tip: If properly connected, you should see a blue connection icon appear in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Place the iPad onto the Guac head with the screen facing up

  4. Carefully move the iPad to the bottom of the Guac head so that it aligns with the corners

Step Three

Replace the Faceplate

  1. Take the faceplate and place it over the iPad

    • Tip: You may need to gently slide the iPad down toward the bottom of the Guac head so that the faceplate lays flat across all sides of the screen.

  2. Replace all the screws in a cross-pattern to ensure equal pressure is applied on all sides.

    • Note: Do not over tighten the screws, as this may cause the faceplate to bend or add too much pressure to the screen.

What to Know

Install iPad Before Powering on Your Booth

Always have an iPad inserted before turning the booth on

  • Please note your warranty will be void if Guac is powered on without an iPad or the insert installed.

  • You can also use the cardboard insert instead of the iPad. Don’t throw this away!
