GIFs take a series of still photos and combine them together to create an animated capture.
Boomerangs record a short, 1 to 4 second video clip, which then plays forwards and backwards in a loop.

Download Boomerangs And GIFs From The Live Gallery
To Download Boomerangs and GIFs from the Live Gallery:
Open the Live Gallery of the Event you want to download GIFs/Boomerangs from
Select the Capture you wish to download
Under Share click the download icon located on the far right
The download will begin and save on your device in MP4 format
What To Know
Downloading Boomerangs And GIFs On iOS Mobile Devices
When downloading Boomerangs and GIFs from the Live Gallery on an iPad or iPhone, they will not automatically save to that device’s Photos app but will instead save to the device’s Files app. After downloading the capture, users can then use the Share icon to save the downloaded capture to their camera roll on iOS.
