What Is Face Effects?

Face Effects is Salsa’s augmented-reality (AR) feature which can be used for in-person events with the Salsa iOS app and virtually for Virtual Booth events.

When Face Effects is turned on, Salsa uses facial detection and image processing to digitally place the selected mask on to each guest's face – be it aviator glasses, glam, or a lion’s face.

Note: Face Effects requires a Salsa Pro subscription.

How to

Turn On Face Effects

You can turn on Face Effects at any point from the Event Settings section of Salsa.

  1. Log in to Salsa

  2. Click Configure Event

  3. Click Event Capture Settings tab

  4. Click Face Effects

  5. Select one or more masks to be turned on for this event

Feature

Glam

Glam can give your guests a Kardashian booth style glow.

Glam is available for all capture modes for in-person events with the Salsa iOS app and Photo Mode for Virtual Booth events.

Note: Face Effects requires a Salsa Pro subscription.

Feature

Masks

Masks add a fun feature to any event!

Masks use facial detection and image processing to digitally place selected graphics onto each guest’s face – be it aviator glasses, a flower crown, or a lion’s face.

Note: Face Effects requires a Salsa Pro subscription.
