  1. Go to "General" tab

  2. Click on "Reset to Defaults"

  3. Click “Load Event” which will load a navigation window within windows.

  4. On the left of the navigation window click on “Desktop” to navigate to the Backgrounds folder which is saved on the desktop.

  5. Once the backgrounds folder has been opened within the navigation window, scroll to the bottom of the backgrounds folder and locate the FirstEvents.settings file and click to open it (like you would any other event).

  6. Once you load the FirstEvents.settings file found inside the backgrounds folder, click Save and Start.

That's it!

This will essentially "refresh" your settings and take your Social Booth interface back to the settings we had set when you first received it. Sometimes settings files can get corrupted, and you'll need to revert to the original settings to address that glitch.

Once you do that, you are welcome to load the settings that you want back into Social Booth. Make sure to save and start each time you reload a new setting so that you can find out where (or if) an issue occurs!

What more than likely happened was the software could not talk to another portion of the software. This can even happen when too many filters are selected or different ones interfere with other portions of the software. We strongly suggest to not use Advanced Filters due to this reason.

Here is the FirstEvent File if you do not have it inside your backgrounds folder:
Surface Pro 4: FirstEventSP4
Surface Pro 3: FirstEvent

WE STRONGLY SUGGEST TO ALWAYS SAVE YOUR EVENTS, BACKGROUNDS, TEMPLATES AND ANYTHING ELSE THE SOFTWARE USES TO THE DEVICE LOCALLY AND NOT IN THE CLOUD OR ON A USB FLASH DRIVE.

We strongly advise to backup your events to USB drives or cloud storages such as Dropbox but always have the software looking for information on your device, not in the cloud or the USB. Having the software get information from a USB device or cloud storage may have a huge risk of corruption. You can bring files, templates, overlays, ETC from different devices but drag them to the desktop and load it from the desktop always!

USB AND CLOUD STORAGE SHOULD BE FOR BACKUPS, NOT LOADING DATA FROM.
