Avoid portable power sources when troubleshooting power issues with the booth

  • Plug directly into a wall outlet when troubleshooting. Avoid battery packs, extension cords, and surge protectors.

Understanding Salsa 1 Power Supply LED Behavior

  • A solid blue light indicates power is flowing normally.
  • A blinking blue light often signals an issue with the Power Supply or Salsa 1 head.
  • No light suggests an outlet or Power Supply failure. Try plugging the Power Supply into a different outlet.

How To
Test The Salsa 1 Power Supply

  1. Disconnect the DC Extension Cable from the Salsa 1 head and all cables from each other and from the power
  2. Connect the AC adapter to the Power Supply brick and plug it directly into a wall outlet
    IMPORTANT: Do not connect the DC Extension Cable to the Power Supply yet
  3. Check the blue LED on the Power Supply brick
  4. If the blue LED is solid, connect the DC Extension Cable to the Power Supply brick only
    IMPORTANT: Do not connect the DC Extension Cable to the Salsa 1 head yet
  5. If the blue LED is blinking, stop here and reach out to the PBSCO support team for further assistance
  6. If the blue LED stays solid, continue to the following steps to test the Salsa 1 DC Extension Cable

Test The Salsa 1 DC Extension Cable

  1. With a solid blue LED on the Power Supply, connect the DC Extension cable to the Salsa 1 head
  2. Power should now be delivered to the Salsa 1, which can be indicated by the sound of the fan and the iPad charging
    Note: The LED light may or may not immediately turn on – this is normal
  3. If the Salsa 1 is still not receiving power, check the connection between the Salsa 1 head and the DC Extension Cable 
    Note: This video provides tips for ensuring a solid connection
