Virtual Event Effects

Virtual Event Effects add interactive customization options to Virtual Events in Fiesta.

Guests can apply Stickers, use Face Effects, and customize Photo Mode captures with Photo Background Removal.

What To Know
Stickers

Stickers allow guests to customize their Virtual Booth experience by adding branded or decorative images to their captures.

One or more Stickers can be added to an event. Stickers can be selected from Fiesta’s Library or uploaded for a more branded experience.

During the event, guests can apply the selected Stickers after their session, with the option to resize, rotate, and arrange them on the capture.

Add Stickers

  1. Log in to Fiesta
  2. Create or select an event
  3. Select Configure Event
  4. Select the Events tab
  5. Toggle on Stickers
  6. Click the Select Stickers dropdown
  7. Select Stickers from Fiesta Library, choose from recent uploads, or upload a file from your device

Note: A custom Sticker may not display correctly if it doesn't meet the size or file type listed in our File Requirements Page.

Face Effects

Face Effects in Fiesta are augmented-reality (AR) effects.

When enabled, Fiesta uses facial detection and image processing to place the selected effect on guests’ faces during the session.

Select two or more Face Effects to allow guests to choose between them.

Notes:

  • If more than one Face Effect is enabled for an event, guests are presented with options to choose from before the capture is taken. Guests can opt out by selecting the default option.
  • If only one Face Effect is enabled, it is applied automatically to all captures by default. To allow guests to opt out, toggle off Automatically Apply Face Effect To All Captures.

Note: Face Effects are only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

Photo Background Removal

Photo Background Removal in Virtual Events replaces the background behind guests in Photo Mode captures with a selected image.

This can be used to create themed experiences or add a custom branded background to a Virtual Event.

IMPORTANT: Virtual Event Photo Background Removal is a separate feature from the Background Removal feature used in iPad and DSLR events.

Note: Virtual Event Photo Background Removal is only available on the Fiesta Pro subscription tier.

  1. Log in to Fiesta

  3. Select Configure Event
  4. Select the Events tab
  5. Select Photo Background Removal
  6. Click the Add Background dropdown

Differences Between Virtual And In-Person Background Removal

Virtual Event Photo Background Removal and Background Removal for in-person events have different capabilities and limitations.

Photo Background Removal in Virtual Events:

  • Only Photo mode is supported (other capture modes will not have the background removed)
  • Video backgrounds display only as a static image using the first frame of the video
  • Does not require a physical green screen
  • Does not support Background Removal's Virtual Overlays

Background Removal for In-Person Events on the Fiesta iOS App:

  • Requires a physical green or blue screen for best results
  • May require additional lighting for the best results
  • Works with all capture modes (Photo, GIF, Boomerang, Video)
  • Supports both still images and animated video backgrounds
  • Supports Background Removal's Virtual Overlays

FAQ

Can I add all of the Virtual Event Effects to a single event?

  • Yes. Multiple Virtual Event Effects can be added to a single event.
  • Multiple options can also be enabled within each effect so guests can create more customized captures.

Can I upload my own Face Effects to a Virtual Event?

  • No. The only Face Effects that can be added to an event are those that are found in Fiesta.

Can more than one Face Effect be added to a single Virtual Event capture?

  • No, only one Face Effect can be applied to a Virtual Event capture at a time.
