What is CUPS?

CUPS is the print-management service that controls the Chips Brain. It provides advanced controls for the printer, including fine-tuning the print color, adjusting the print media size, and troubleshooting certain issues when using the Guac & Chips Photo Booth.

How To
Adjust Printer Media Size

1. Open the Fiesta iOS Software
2. Tap the Account Icon in the upper-right corner (typically your initials)
3. Tap Hardware Dashboard
4. Tap Chips Dashboard
5. Select Adjust Printer Media Size under Printer Settings
6. Tap the Administration drop-down menu
7. Select Set Default Options
8. Tap the Media Size drop-down menu
9. Select 2x6*2 for 2x6 Photo Templates
10. Tap Modify Defaults
11. Tap Done in the upper-left corner to return to the Fiesta iOS Software

Note: The Administration menu may prompt for login credentials. Use the following credentials below, if prompted:

Username: printer
Password: password

What To Know
Printing 2x6 Photo Templates

The DNP DS620A printer is set up to print 4x6 images and Photo Templates by default. To print 2x6 Photo Templates, the media size will need to be adjusted within the printer’s settings.
 

To change the print media size, follow these steps.
 

To print 2x6 Photo Templates:

• Set the print media size to 2x6*2
• Set the Photo Template to Double 2x6 in the Fiesta Software (iOS)

Note: The DNP DS620A does not support printing single 2x6 Photo Templates.

The 2x6*2 setting allows the printer to print two copies of the Photo Template on one 4x6 piece of paper and cuts it into two 2x6 strips.

FAQ

What is the default print media size in CUPS?

• By default, the DNP DS620A printer is set up to print 4x6 images in the CUPS menu. Adjust the printer media size if the event includes a 2x6 Photo Template.

Why can't I access CUPS?

• CUPS can only be accessed if the Guac Photo Booth is connected to the Chips Photo Booth. If the booth is connected and the CUPS menu is not loading, please reach out to support for further assistance.
