If you're experiencing power issues with your Salsa 2 Photo Booth, the booth may only power on partially or not at all. When power is only partially on, the booth's internal fan may spin up but the LEDs may not illuminate after being paired. This guide walks through the steps to isolate the problem and provides the specific power requirements for Salsa 2.

Using The Correct Power Cables With Salsa 2

When Salsa 2 is in Stationary Mode, always use the original power components shipped with the booth, which includes the USB-C cable, power adapter, and optional extension cable. 

Powering Salsa 2 in Roamer Mode requires a portable battery. Learn more about our recommendations for portable batteries here.

Note: Any portable battery purchased for Salsa 2 should have a minimum power output of 100 watts on a single port to provide reliable, consistent power.

Avoid portable power sources when troubleshooting booth power issues 

  • Use a wall power outlet that can deliver at least 100 watts when performing a power test

Test with the power components that shipped with your Salsa 2

  • Salsa 2's original USB-C cable and power adapter supply adequate power for the internal fan, LEDs, and iPad charging port to operate simultaneously
  • Third-party adapters or cables may appear to work, but will fail to supply enough power to the booth

Test Salsa 2's Power Cable And Power Adapter

  1. Disconnect all cables from both the Salsa 2 Booth and the power source
  2. Inspect the port on the back of the Salsa 2 Roamer for signs of damage or dislocation
  3. Reconnect the USB-C cable to the power adapter
  4. Connect the power adapter to the power source that delivers at least 100 watts
  5. Reconnect the other end of the USB-C cable to the port on the back of the Salsa 2 Roamer
