The Salsa 2 Dashboard is the main hub for managing firmware updates and monitoring the Salsa 2 hardware connection. This includes checking the connection status between the booth and the Fiesta app, as well as installing any available firmware updates.
Firmware updates may include performance improvements, bug fixes, or new features, and help keep the booth running smoothly. If a hardware connection issue is detected, the dashboard provides visibility so it can be resolved quickly.
What To Know
Best Practices For Updating Firmware
Here are some best practices for updating the Salsa 2 firmware:

Check for iPadOS and Fiesta updates first
Make sure the iPad is running the latest version of iPadOS and the Fiesta app is up to date before updating the firmware. This helps avoid compatibility issues and ensures the latest features and fixes are in place. -
Ensure Stable Power Supply:
Before starting the update, ensure the booth has a stable power connection to avoid interruptions during the process. -
Avoid Interruptions During the Update:
Do not turn off or unplug the booth or iPad while the firmware is being updated to prevent corruption of the update. -
Update During Off-Peak Hours:
If possible, perform the update during off-peak hours or when the booth isn’t being used for events to minimize disruption. -
Test Booth Features After Update:
After updating, test the booth’s major features (e.g., camera, printer, LED ring) to ensure everything works as expected.
How To
Check For Salas 2 Firmware Updates
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Salsa 2 Dashboard
- Check the Firmware Update section for any updates
- If a firmware update is available, the message "New Version Available" will appear in the Firmware Update section along with an option to download the update.
IMPORTANT: If the System Check shows Salsa 2 is not connected, connect the hardware before attempting a firmware update.
How To
Download And Install Salsa 2 Firmware Update
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Salsa 2 Dashboard
- Tap Download in the Firmware Update section
- Confirm by tapping Download Firmware Now
Note: The firmware will now begin to download. Depending on the internet speed of the Wi-Fi network the iPad is connected to, it may take a few moments to complete. - Once the process is completed, you will receive a message asking if you would like to update the Salsa 2 firmware. You can choose to update the firmware immediately or opt to update it later.
- Tap Update Firmware Now
IMPORTANT: You will not be able to use Salsa 2 while the update is running. DO NOT turn off/unplug the booth or close the app until the update is complete.
How To
Complete The Salsa 2 Firmware Update Later
If you choose to update the firmware later, you can always return to the Hardware Dashboard to start the update.
To complete the Salsa 2 firmware update later:
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Salsa 2 Dashboard
- Tap Update
- Confirm by tapping Update Firmware Now

System Check
The System Check in the Salsa 2 Hardware Dashboard is where the Salsa 2 hardware is connected to the Fiesta iOS App. This connection links essential booth components, including the LED ring. Whether setting up for the first time or reconnecting after a disconnection, this is where the Sals 2 hardware is paired and communication is confirmed.
How To
Connect Salsa 2 In The Hardware Dashboard
- Plug Salsa 2 into power
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App on your iPad
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Salsa 2 Dashboard
- Tap Search for Salsa 2s
- Select your Salsa 2 from the list that appears
- Salsa 2 will now show as connected
Note: The steps for connecting to Salsa 2 are slightly different the first time you pair the booth compared to reconnecting it later.
Note: The serial number listed on the connection indicator is unique to your Salsa 2. Noting this serial number may be helpful to ensure that you are connected to the correct Salsa 2 in the future.

Connect To Salsa 2 After Previous Connection
- Plug Salsa 2 into power
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App on your iPad
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Salsa 2 Dashboard
- Below Search For Salsa 2, select Salsa #Serial Connecting
- Salsa 2 will now show as connected
Note: The serial number listed on the connection indicator is unique to your Salsa 2. Double-check this serial number to ensure that you are connecting to the correct Salsa 2.

Can I keep using Salsa 2 while the firmware is updating?
- No. Salsa 2 must remain connected and idle during the update process. The booth and app should not be closed or powered off.
Can I delay the firmware update and install it later?
- Yes. If you choose to wait, you can return to the Salsa 2 Dashboard anytime and tap Update > Update Firmware Now.
What should I do if nothing happens when I tap "Search for Salsa 2s"?
- If you’ve already connected Salsa 2 before, the reconnection steps are slightly different.
