What is the Guac Dashboard?
The Guac Dashboard is the main hub for downloading and installing firmware updates for the Guac Photo Booth. Guac's firmware manages the booth's hardware connections, such as the printer and LED Ring, and firmware updates may include performance improvements, bug fixes, or new features. It's important to keep your Guac's firmware updated, because it helps keep the booth running smoothly.

Best Practices For Updating Firmware
Here are some best practices for updating the Guac firmware:

Check for iPadOS and Fiesta updates first
Make sure the iPad is running the latest versions of iPadOS and the Fiesta iOS App before updating the firmware. This helps avoid compatibility issues and ensures the latest features and fixes are in place. -
Ensure a stable power supply
Before starting the update, ensure the booth has a stable power connection to avoid interruptions during the process. -
Avoid interruptions during the update
Do not turn off or unplug the booth or iPad while the firmware is being updated, as this could corrupt the update. -
Update during off-peak hours
If possible, perform the update during off-peak hours or when the booth isn’t being used for events to minimize disruption. -
Test booth features after the update is finished
After updating, test the booth’s major features (e.g., camera, printer, LED Ring) to ensure everything works as expected.

Check For Guac Firmware Updates
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Guac Dashboard
- Check the Firmware Update section for any updates
- If a firmware update is available, the message "New Version Available" will appear in the Firmware Update section along with an option to download the update
IMPORTANT: If the System Check section on the Hardware Dashboard shows that Guac is not connected, you may need to check that everything is connected and your Ethernet settings are correct.

How To
Download And Install Guac Firmware Updates
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Select Hardware Dashboard
- Select Guac Dashboard
- Tap Download in the Firmware Update section
- Confirm by tapping Download Firmware Now
Note: The firmware will now begin to download. Depending on the internet speed of the wifi network the iPad is connected to, it may take a few moments to complete. - Tap Update Firmware Now
Note: You will also have the option to update the firmware later on.
IMPORTANT: You will not be able to use Guac while the update is running. Do not turn off or unplug the booth or close Fiesta until the update is complete.

Complete The Guac Firmware Update Later
If you choose to update the firmware later, you can return to the Hardware Dashboard at any time to complete the update.
- Log in to the Fiesta iOS App
- Tap the Account Icon in the top right corner
- Tap Hardware Dashboard
- Tap Guac Dashboard
- Tap Update
- Confirm by tapping Update Firmware Now
