When should the Guac camera be removed?
The Guac camera is securely installed in the head and does not need to be removed during standard use or transport.
However, removing the Guac camera from the head may be necessary in the following cases:
- Accessing the SD card: If photos need to be transferred or backed up, or before sending the camera in for service, remove the SD card to ensure files are saved and protected.

Troubleshooting or repairs: If there's an issue with image quality or connectivity and tech support recommends removing the camera for further inspection.

Extended travel or shipping: For added protection when shipping the Guac long distances or via checked luggage, removing the camera can help prevent potential damage.
How to
Remove The Guac Camera
- Place Guac head face down onto a clean, flat surface
- Turn the knob on the back of Guac head to unlock the back door
- Use the knob to lift and remove the door, setting it to the side
- Loosen the nut under the camera to release it from the rack
- Carefully remove the camera from the Guac head
How To
Remove The SD Card
- Looking at the bottom of the camera, open the battery compartment door by sliding it to the side
- Locate the SD card under the battery
- Press the SD card until it unlocks
- Remove the SD card from the camera
Note: Be careful not to touch the metal connection points on the SD card.

Reinsert The SD Card
- Open the battery compartment and reinsert the SD card by sliding it into the slot just above the battery
- Make sure that the metal connectors are facing the back of the camera
Note: Be careful not to touch the metal connection points on the SD card - Press it in until it clicks into place
- Close the battery compartment door

When should the SD card be removed?

- No. The Guac camera is designed to stay securely installed in the Guac head during standard use and regular transport. There’s no need to remove it between events unless specifically advised.
