What is Skip Mode Selection?

The Skip Mode Selection feature allows the Mode selection screen during an iPad, DSLR, or 360 event to be skipped if only one capture mode is selected. The feature is toggled on by default, but can be easily disabled. 

Note: Skip Mode Selection only affects the mode selection screen during the event. Other selection screens will not be affected.

Disable Skip Mode Selection

  1. Log in to the Fiesta app
  2. Select an event or create a new event
  3. Select Configure Event
  4. Select the Modes tab
  5. Select the toggle next to Skip Mode Selection

What To Know
When To Use Skip Mode Selection

Skip Mode Selection is a useful feature when only one capture mode is available. Guests do not have to select the Mode when only one option is available, and it allows for a more streamlined process. 

If multiple capture options are available for guests to choose from, the option will be automatically disabled; it only applies when one capture mode is available if the Skip Mode Selection is turned on.

  1. Log in to the Fiesta app
  2. Select an event
  3. Select Configure Event
  4. Select the Modes tab
  5. If the toggle is off, Select the toggle next to Skip Mode Selection to toggle back on

What To Know
Multiple Mode Options

Whether or not the Skip Mode Selection feature is turned on, it will be automatically disabled during an event if multiple mode options are enabled. This is to ensure there are no issues when selecting between multiple capture modes, giving guests the option when multiple options are available, and preventing any issues.

FAQ

When does the Mode Selection screen get skipped? 

  • Only when one capture mode is enabled and Skip Mode Selection is enabled.
  • If more than one mode is active, Mode Selection remains active.

Is Skip Mode Selection customizable?

  • Yes, there is a toggle in the Modes tab. 
  • It is on by default and automatically turns off if multiple capture modes are enabled.

What happens if other pre-capture screens are enabled?

  • Other pre-capture screens will still appear.
  • Skip Mode Selection only affects the Capture Modes screen.

Is this available for all event types? 

  • No, this is currently only available for In-Person Event Types - iPad, DSLR, and 360
  • This setting is not available on Virtual Event type.

Will this affect my event if I don't change any settings?

  • Skip Mode Selection is on by default, however will only affect the event if only one capture mode is selected.
