Setting Up Printing, Email, And Texting

When setting up an event, clients may ask for all sharing options - including Printing, Email, and Texting. Airprint is able to function when connected to most wifi connections - however it can be a bit tricky.

This article compiles some useful information on different questions that may pop up when setting everything up.

IMPORTANT: Airprint is only available with a Fiesta Pro subscription

What To Know
Setup Requirements

There are two essential requirements to allow for both printing and immediate digital shares (email and texting):

  1. An AirPrint Dongle
  2. Access to the venue WiFi or a Personal hotspot

Note: You do not need WiFi to print. WiFi is only required if you want to provide immediate digital sharing along with the option to print at your event.

IMPORTANT: You cannot use the cellular data on an iPad to allow for printing and sharing digitally. Cellular iPads will only allow for sharing digitally when WiFi is not available.

Once connected, you will be able to load the AirPrint dongle's portal where you'll find the control panel and settings for the dongle and printer.

What To Know
When There Is No Wifi Access

If the Airprint dongle is failing to connect to the wifi or hotspot, or there is no service at the event, all three options can still be enabled. Make sure the iPad is connected to the Airprint dongle directly to print during the event.

The Fiesta software will run in Offline mode. All email and text shares will be saved until the device is connected to a strong wifi network, then upload all captures. This makes sure the event still goes off without a hitch!
