Before You Start
Before assembling your Salsa 1 Booth, make sure that you have:
- Updated to the latest version of iPadOS
- Updated to the latest version of the Fiesta iOS app
- Logged into an active Fiesta account
Step One
Preparing your iPad
- Sign up for your Fiesta account
- Download, install, and sign into the Fiesta iOS App
- Optimize your iPad Settings

Step Two
Install Your iPad Into The Salsa 1 Head
- Using the included Philips screwdriver, remove the four screws from the Photo Booth's faceplate
- Remove the faceplate
- Plug the USB-C iPad charging cable into your iPad
- Place your iPad inside the Salsa 1 head unit
- Place the faceplate back onto your Salsa 1
- Screw the faceplate back into place
Note: Install the screws in a cross pattern (top left, bottom right, top right, bottom left). Be careful not over-tighten the screws.
IMPORTANT: Do not use power tools when screwing in the faceplate
The Salsa 1 Photo Booth comes with a pre-installed faceplate designed for 12.9-inch iPad Pro models (3rd through 6th generation). If you're using a different iPad model, you can purchase a compatible faceplate here.
Step Three
Assembling Booth Baseplate And Poles
- Place the Salsa 1 baseplate on the ground with the longer half facing away from the backdrop
- Run the DC extension cable under the baseplate and up through the rectangular hole in the center.
Note: Feed approximately two arms' length of cable through the baseplate before moving onto the next step - Run the DC extension cable through the first pole, and place the pole onto the baseplate, aligning the pole's rods with the bolts on the baseplate
- Tighten both knobs at the top of the pole simultaneously until they are finger-tight
- Slightly loosen the knobs to adjust them into an X shape, matching the sticker
- Repeat steps 3, 4, and 5 for the second pole
Step Four
Attach The Salsa 1 Head

Carefully lift the Salsa 1 head and plug the DC extension cable into the power jack located on the underside of the head

Tighten the screw ring at the end of the DC extension cable to secure it to the power jack

Place the Salsa 1 head on top of the pole, aligning the head’s fastening knobs with the knobs on the pole

Tighten both knobs on each side of the Salsa 1 head at the same time until the head is securely locked in place

Loosen the tilt lever on the back of the Salsa 1 head by rotating it counter-clockwise
Note: To loosen the tilt lever, do not push the button or pull outwards on the lever, as this will cause the lever to spin freely without loosening the tilt hinge -
Once the tilt lever is loose, adjust the head to your preferred tilt angle

Tighten the tilt lever by rotating it clockwise to lock the position in place
Step Five
Connecting Power
- Connect the end of the DC extension cable that is not plugged into the Salsa 1 head to the power supply
- Plug the AC power cable into the power supply
- Plug the AC power cable into a wall outlet
IMPORTANT: Always make sure an iPad is installed in your or the cardboard insert (or a similar placeholder) is in place before turning on your Salsa 1 booth. The cardboard insert that comes with your booth is designed to protect the internal components—don’t throw it away!
Please note: Powering on the Salsa 1 without an iPad or the cardboard insert (or similar placeholder) installed will void your warranty.
