Known Issues in Fiesta Version 1.5.0
Note: All currently known issues listed below are either being actively investigated by our team to resolve them as quickly as possible, or have been resolved and will remain on this list for five software updates.

Capture Processing Time
Why is it taking so long to see my capture?
Some users have experienced an extended processing time between taking a capture, and having the capture appear.

Update Fiesta Software
- Fiesta version 1.1.51 included some improvements to video capture times, while our engineering team continues to work on long-term improvements for even faster processing times.
Lag After Updating
Why is Fiesta responding slower since I updated the app?
Some of Fiesta's more architectural changes in recent releases has caused slowness for some users.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Uninstall and reinstall Fiesta while you do not have pending captures
- This will ensure Fiesta runs as expected by providing a clean local installation.
Guest Experience (iPad, DSLR, And 360 Events)
Why do guests see two Overlay options, with one being blank, when I only have one Overlay added to an event?
Some users have experienced an issue where a second, blank Overlay option appears on the Overlay Selection screen while only one Overlay has been added to an event.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Our engineering team is working to resolve this issue in a software update in the near future.
Guest Experience (iPad Events Only)
Why are my event's captures low quality when the camera looks good in the event's Camera Settings?
Some users have experienced an issue where the camera preview looks as expected in the event's Camera Settings, but captures from within the active event are lower quality than expected.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Fully close the Fiesta iOS App, relaunch the Fiesta iOS App, select your iPad Event, and start the event without accessing the iPad event's Camera Settings
- This issue causes Fiesta to use standard resolution – instead of high resolution – after loading the camera preview within an iPad event's Camera Settings.

Why are some of my event's captures bright and overexposed, while the rest of the captures look great?
Some users have experienced an issue where captures are intermittently overexposed while using Auto Exposure on iPad Events.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Disable Auto Exposure in the event's Camera Settings, and manually set the ISO and Shutter Speed
Event Settings - Modes
I created an Overlay in Design Studio for a 360 Event, but I can't find it in my existing designs - where is it?
Some users are experiencing an issue where Overlays may not appear when browsing existing designs from the 360 Modes settings.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Our engineering team is working on long-term improvements for Fiesta. Updates will be announced with future software releases.
Salsa 1 Photo Booth
Why does the Salsa 1 LED Ring usually pair successfully, but occasionally won't pair?
Some users are experiencing an issue where the Salsa 1 LED Ring is occasionally unable to pair with Fiesta.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Unplug the Salsa 1 Photo Booth from power, shut down the iPad within the iPad's Settings app (at the bottom of General settings), then plug the Salsa 1 back into power
- Ensure that the Salsa 1 LED Ring is unpaired from the Salsa App
- If the Salsa App is uninstalled but was previously used on the iPad, or with the Salsa 1, redownload the Salsa App, log in, and unpair the LED Ring before deleting the Salsa App again.

Guac Photo Booth
Why isn't the system check appearing in the Hardware Dashboard?
Some users are experiencing an issue where the system check information in the Hardware Dashboard is not appearing.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Ensure that the basic iOS settings are set up correctly
- Ensure that the iOS Ethernet settings are set up correctly
- Unplug the Guac Photo Booth from power, shut down the iPad within the iPad's Settings app (at the bottom of General settings), then plug the Guac back into power
- Note: in extremely rare instances, it may be required to repeat this step 2 - 3 times
Printing (iPad And DSLR Events)
I keep running into an issue when trying to print - how do I fix this?
Some users have experienced an issue when trying to print due to an Apple iOS/iPadOS bug.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Restart the iPad
- If you are using an AirPrint dongle to print, restart both the iPad and the AirPrint dongle
Printing (DSLR Events Only)
Why are prints from the Guac Photo Booth blurry?
Some Guac users have experienced blurry prints when printing from a Guac Photo Booth using Chips – wired or wirelessly – or AirPrint.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Ensure that the Guac Firmware and Chips Firmware are both up-to-date
- Ensure that the printer's firmware is up-to-date
- If you are using an AirPrint dongle to print, ensure that the AirPrint dongle's software and firmware are up-to-date
Gallery Mode
Why is Gallery Mode blinking black while I'm swiping through captures?
Some users have experienced an issue with Gallery Mode briefly blinking black while swiping through Boomerang, GIF, and Video captures.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Our engineering team is working to resolve this issue in a software update in the near future.
Sharing Station
Why is Fiesta taking so long to load captures in Sharing Station?
Some users have experienced an issue with long load times in Sharing Station for events with a large number of captures.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Remain connected to Wi-Fi and wait for all captures to finish downloading
- Subsequent starts of Sharing Station will load immediately.
Sharing Station and Gallery Mode

Why does the app keep closing when trying to use Gallery Mode or Sharing Station?
Some users have experienced the Fiesta App unexpectedly closing when using Galley Mode or Sharing Station in an event with more than one thousand captures.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Try duplicating the event to be able to run the same configuration without the number of captures causing a loading issue
Hands-Free Mode

Why does the app keep closing when I try to use Hands-Free Mode?
Some users have experienced an issue with the Fiesta iOS App crashing when trying to use Hands-Free Mode.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Update both iPadOS and the Fiesta iOS App on the iPad
Salsa App - Known Degradation Issues
Note: Issues listed in this section should not be expected to be resolved prior to the Salsa App being sunset on July 1st, 2025.
Photo Templates & Overlays
Why can't I remove a Photo Template by duplicating a Salsa App event anymore?
Some users have experienced an issue where duplicated events continue to hold onto the original event's Photo Template, instead of being deleted as previously expected.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Create a new Salsa App event from scratch; or
- Log in to Fiesta, and delete the Photo Template from Fiesta's event settings
Why can't I remove my Photo Template or Overlay in Fiesta?
Some users have experienced an issue where Photo Templates and Overlays cannot be removed in Fiesta after adding both a Photo Template and an Overlay to their event in the Salsa App.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Create a new event from scratch in Fiesta; or
- Remove all Overlays from the event within the Salsa App, and re-add the Overlays in Fiesta
Why is my Photo Template changing in multiple events when I change the Photo Template in one event in the Salsa App?
Some users have experienced an issue where Photo Templates in multiple duplicated events receive the same Photo Template changes when a Photo Template is added or edited in any of the duplicated events.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Log into the Fiesta Web App, use Design Studio to create new Photo Templates for each event, and add the desired Photo Templates to the appropriate events in Fiesta
