What is Text Sharing?
Text Sharing enables guests to send their captures directly to their mobile devices via SMS by entering their phone numbers during an in-person event or at a sharing station.
With Text Sharing, you can customize the following aspects:
- The message sent with each capture
The phone numbers entered by guests are saved in the Event Analytics and can be downloaded after the event for marketing or other purposes.

When To Use Text Sharing
Text messaging is one of the quickest and most convenient ways for guests to receive and share their captures. Most guests have phones able to receive captures, so it is often considered the default sharing method for events.
It is important to keep in mind if the event is running in Offline Mode, shares will not be sent out until the event has synced with Fiesta servers after connected to an internet connection.
How To
Enable Text Sharing
- Log in to Fiesta Web App or Fiesta iOS App
- Select or create a new event
- Select Configure Event
- Select Sharing
- Toggle on Text
- Edit the Message Body
IMPORTANT: The default country code for Text Sharing is set to the United States. Unless changed, the default will be (+1). You can update the default country code for the entire event in the Advanced Settings under Text Sharing.

Successful Text Messages
Offline Mode
If your booth is in Offline Mode, messages won't be sent immediately. Guest phone numbers will be saved, and messages will be sent automatically once the device reconnects to the internet. Learn more about Offline Mode.
Text Message Tips
The ability to receive Text Shares successfully depends on the guests’ phone settings and carrier restrictions. Some guests may not receive texts if they have blocked messages from unknown numbers or if their carrier imposes restrictions on certain text messages.
To enhance message delivery and prevent texts from being flagged as spam by mobile carriers:
- Limit links or URLs (one if necessary)
-
Avoid using hashtags (#) and the "@" symbol
-
Minimize emoji usage
-
Keep the message brief and clear
What To Know
Text Sharing Outside the United States
By default, the country code +1 (United States) is automatically added to guests’ phone numbers when sharing captures via text.
Guests can change the country code manually when sharing during the event if they are using a number from outside the United States. However, the country code will reset to the default after each share.
To select a different default country code for the event, navigate to the Advanced Settings under Text Sharing in the Sharing tab of your event's configuration. You can make this change using the Fiesta Web App or the Fiesta iOS App. Guests can still manually adjust the country code during the event.
