iPad
Guac Dashboard
Possible causes:
- iPad is not connected to USB-C cable
- Guac is not connected to power
- Ethernet settings are not correct
What to check:
- That the USB-C cable is securely connected to the iPad inside Guac.
- That Guac is plugged into power.
- Ethernet settings in the iPad settings.
If Guac is powered on and the iPad is connected:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation

Confirm that the settings are correct:
- Configure IP: Manual
- IP Address: 172.16.0.7
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Note: If your settings are incorrect, you will not be able to print or control the LED ring. You can follow this guide to set up the Ethernet settings.
Guac Dashboard
Possible causes:
- Camera is not powered on.
- Camera sync cable is not connected to the camera or USB hub.
- iPad is not connected to the USB-C cable.
What to check:
- That the camera is powered on.
- That the sync cable is firmly connected to both the camera and the bottom USB port on the USB hub inside Guac.
- That the iPad is connected to the USB-C cable.
- That the iPad is charging when the booth is plugged into power.
If the iPad is connected to the USB-C cable but it is not charging:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap General
- Tap Shut Down
- Slide to power off the iPad
- Unplug Guac from power and wait 15 seconds
- Plug Guac back into power. The iPad should automatically turn back on.
- Open the Fiesta iOS App and check the Guac Dashboard.
If the iPad is connected and charging:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap Privacy & Security
- Tap Files and Folders
- Toggle on Fiesta
If the camera's back screen displays a battery icon and a laptop icon:
- Close the Fiesta iOS App
- Disconnect the data sync cable from the side of the camera, then reconnect it
- Relaunch the Fiesta iOS App
Guac Dashboard
Possible causes:
- Printer USB cable is not connected to Guac and/or the printer
- Printer is not powered on
- Ethernet settings are not correct
What to check:
- The printer is connected to power and turned on.
- The USB port under the Guac head
- The USB port on the back of the printer
- Ethernet settings in the iPad settings
If the printer is powered on and connected to Guac:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation

- IP Address: 172.16.0.7
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Possible causes:
- Ethernet settings are not correct
- iPad is not connected to USB-C cable
- Guac is not connected to power
- Ethernet cable is not connected
What to check:
- That the USB-C cable is securely connected to the iPad inside Guac.
- That Guac is plugged into power.
- Ethernet settings in the iPad settings
If Guac is powered on and the iPad is connected:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation

Guac Dashboard
Error: Wi-Fi Network Preventing Guac Connection
Possible causes:
- The Wi-Fi network that the iPad is connected to has the same IP address as Guac.
What to check:
- Open the iPad’s Settings app
- Tap Wi-Fi in the left navigation
- Tap the i button next to the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to
- Check the IP Address under IPV4
If the IP address starts with 172.16.0:
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation
- Tap USB 10/100/1000 LAN
- Tap Configure IP
- Select Manual
- Tap IP Address
- Enter in 10.0.0.7
- Tap Save
Note: After tapping Ethernet your iPad may show AX88179A Instead of USB 10/100/1000 LAN
If the IP address does not start with 172.16.0:
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation
- Tap USB 10/100/1000 LAN
- Tap Configure IP
- Select Manual
- Tap IP Address
- Enter in 172.16.0.7
- Tap Subnet Mask
- Enter in 255.255.255.0

Tap Save

Unable To Take Photos, But Video Captures Work
Possible causes:
- Camera’s Mode Dial is not set to M (manual exposure)
- High Frame Rate is turned on
What to check:
- That the Mode Dial is set to M
- That High Frame Rate is turned off
To turn off High Frame Rate:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Turn camera mode dial to the video camera icon
- Press Menu
- Select Movie rec quality
- Select High Frame Rate
- Set High Frame Rate to Disable
- Set frame rate to FHD 29.8 FPS

Turn the camera dial back to M
Camera
Captures Are Blurry Or Out Of Focus
Possible causes:
- Continuous AF is turned off
- Lens is not set to 15mm on M50 OR 18mm on R100
- Focus Mode is set to MF
- Image Stabilization (IS) is turned on.
To fix this:
- Check that the camera lens is rotated so that the white dash above the Canon logo aligns with “15” on the lens on the M50 or the “18” on the R100.
- Check that your Canon camera settings match those on the Camera Setup Guide.
Camera
Captures Are Cropped Or Zoomed In
If your captures appear zoomed in or cropped, preventing you from fitting multiple guests or the backdrop into frame without moving the booth further than 4’ from the backdrop, check the steps below.
Possible causes:
- The camera lens is not adjusted to the recommended setting
To fix this on the Canon M50:
- Remove the camera from Guac
- Looking down from the top of the camera, locate the switch on the side of the lens.
- Unlock the lens by simultaneously sliding and holding the switch and rotating the lens.
- Rotate the lens until the white dash above the Canon logo aligns with 15 on the lens.
- Release the switch.
To fix this on the Canon R100:
- Looking down from the top of the camera, locate the switch on the side of the lens.
- Unlock the lens by twisting it counterclockwise firmly
- Continue to rotate the lens until the white dash above the Canon logo aligns with 18 on the lens.

Bottom Half Of Captures Are Completely Black
Possible causes:
- Shutter speed is set too high
What to check:
- Make sure the shutter speed is 1/200 or slower
To adjust the shutter speed:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Open the Fiesta iOS App
- Select an event or create a new event
- Tap the Settings gear
- Tap Video Settings
- Tap Shutter Speed

Select a speed slower than 1/400
- Note: Setting the shutter speed too slow may cause captures to look blurry.

Possible causes:
- Auto Power Off is enabled
- The camera’s battery adapter cable is not fully connected
What to check:
- Look inside the Guac head and make sure that the battery adapter cable is securely connected to the bottom of the camera
- Check the settings on the Canon camera to ensure that Auto Power Off is disabled.
To disable Auto Power Off:
- Press Menu.
- Move right to Function settings.
- Go to Menu 2.
- Go down to Power saving.
- Go down to Auto power off.
- Set to Disable.

Unable To Change Video Settings In The Event Settings
Possible causes:
- Movie Shooting Mode is set to auto exposure
To set video captures to manual exposure:
- Turn Mode Dial to the Movie Shooting Mode (the video camera icon).
- Press Menu.
- Select Shooting Settings.
- Go to Menu 1.
- Select Shooting Mode.
- Set to Manual Exposure.
- Turn the Mode Dial back to M.
Camera
Possible causes:
- High Frame Rate is not turned on
- Focus mode is not set to MF
- Shutter speed is not set to 1/250
To turn on High Frame Rate:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Turn camera mode dial to the video camera icon
- Press Menu
- Select Movie rec quality
- Select High Frame Rate
- Set High Frame Rate to Enable
- Turn the camera dial back to M
To set Focus mode to MF:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Turn camera mode dial to the video camera icon
- Press Menu
- Select Shooting settings.
- Go to Menu 5.
- Go down to Focus mode.
- Set to MF.
To set the shutter speed to 1/250:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Open the Fiesta iOS App
- Select an event or create a new event
- Tap the Settings gear
- Tap Video Settings
- Tap Shutter Speed

Select 1/250
Note: You may need to use additional lighting or adjust the aperture value if your Slo-Mo captures appear too dark.

Boomerang And Video Captures Are In Slow Motion
Possible causes:
- High Frame Rate is turned on
To turn off High Frame Rate:
- Plug the Guac Booth into power
- Turn camera mode dial to the video camera icon
- Press Menu
- Select Movie rec quality
- Select High Frame Rate
- Set High Frame Rate to Disable
- Set frame rate to FHD 29.97P
- Turn the camera dial back to M
Camera
Video Based Captures Not As Clear As Photos
Related Capture Modes:

Possible causes:
- Not enough light for video capture modes
To increase the amount of light, you can manually adjust the modeling lamp’s brightness:
- When OFF is displayed, short press the Lightbulb Button to enter PROP mode. Now the LCD panel shows PROP.
- When PROP is displayed, short press the Lightbulb Button again to enter Percentage mode.
- Short press the SET Button and the percentage value is blinking.
- Turn the Select Dial to choose the light brightness from 5% to 100%. Short press the SET Button to exit.
Note: The modeling lamp will turn off automatically after 4 hours of use to prevent overheating. For an event longer than that we recommend the Yongnuo YN360 as supplemental lighting.
Camera
Possible causes:
- The installed SD card has reached its maximum capacity and cannot store any additional captures
To fix this:
- Assemble and power on Guac
- Remove the back door
- Ensure the camera is turned on
- Press the Menu button
- Navigate to the right and select Function Settings (wrench icon)
- Go down and select Format card
- Select OK to confirm
IMPORTANT: This will permanently delete all captures from the SD card. This will not affect captures that were uploaded to your event.
Flash
Flash Not Working For Photos Or GIFs
Possible causes:
- Flash adapter is not connected to the Canon camera
- Flash sync cable is not connected to the flash adapter
- Flash bulb is not fully screwed in
- Flash is not powered on
What to check:

That the flash is turned on and set to:
- Modeling lamp: 100%
- Power: 1/2
- That the flash sync cable is connected to the adapter
- The flash adapter is connected to the Canon camera
If the flash is plugged in and turning on:
- Turn off the flash.
- Unplug the sync cable from the flash.
- Turn the knob on the back of Guac to unlock the back door.
- Unlock the the flash adapter by rotating the dial below where it says LOCK.
- Remove the flash adapter and sync cable from the camera and Guac.
- Check that the threaded ring on the sync cable is securely attached to the Nikon AS-15 flash adapter.
- Reattach the flash adapter to the camera by sliding it into the hot shoe on top of the camera, with the sync cable facing the front.
- Lock the flash adapter by rotating the dial until it is secure.
- Plug the sync cable back into the flash.
- Turn the flash back on.
Flash
Possible causes:
- The sound is turned on for the flash
To fix this:
- Turn on the flash
- Press the volume button to silence the flash beeps.
Flash
Possible causes:
- Another flash in the area is on the same channel
To fix this:
- Press and hold the GR/CH button for two seconds, until the channel ID is blinking.
- Turn the dial to choose a channel from 1-32.
- Press the dial to confirm your selection.
Note: Channels 1 through 4 are the most common consumer electronic channels, so setting it to a channel in the high 20s may prevent frequency-related misfires.
LED Ring
Possible causes:
- iPad is not connected to Guac
- Ethernet settings are not correct.
What to check:
- That the USB-C cable is securely connected to the iPad inside Guac.
- That Guac is plugged into power.
- Ethernet settings in the iPad settings.
If Guac is powered on and the iPad is connected:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap Ethernet in the left navigation

iPad
Possible causes:
- The iPad is not plugged into Guac
- USB-C cable is not connected to the USB hub inside the Guac head
- Power adapter is not plugged into the outlet inside the Guac head
What to check:
- The Guac Dashboard to see if the camera is connected. If the camera is turned on shows as not connected, skip to the steps below.
- That the USB-C cable is connected to the iPad.
- That the USB-C cable is connected to the adapter and the adapter is plugged into the outlet inside the Guac head.
If the iPad is still not charging:
- Open the iPad Settings app
- Tap General
- Tap Shut Down
- Slide to power off the iPad
- Unplug Guac from power and wait 15 seconds
- Plug Guac back into power. The iPad should automatically turn back on.
- Open the Fiesta iOS App and check the Guac Dashboard.
