When getting ready to ship or travel with your Salsa 1 Booth, it is important to take a few steps to prevent damage that could occur in transport:
- Make sure all loose items are either secured in the case or are removed from the Salsa 1 case fully
- The iPad can be left in the Salsa 1 Booth for travel
-
Make sure to properly pack the booth in the case, using the proper foam inserts and piece orientation
Note: This is extremely important with the baseplate, as the baseplate can cause damage to the LED ring or diffuser if not properly inserted!

While there are basic things to note and keep in mind, we’ve also found a few tricks to make traveling with the Salsa 1 Booth safer and easier:
- Zip ties can be used to keep the Salsa 1 case securely closed.
- To reduce or disperse the weight of the Salsa 1 Booth when flying, the baseplate can be removed from the case and stored in a carry-on.

Shipping a booth internationally can be a struggle, especially as the cost can go up significantly depending on where you are shipping it.
An alternative to regular shipping is potentially using a Freight Forwarder. We have some information on Freight Forwarding available here.
What To Know
When shipping anything, there is sadly the chance for the item to get damaged or lost in transport. While the Salsa case has been extensively tested - including being thrown down the stairs! - damage can still occur, and it can still be lost.
This is why we always recommend insuring your booth when shipping. That way, if anything happens, it is much easier to get the booth repaired or replaced!
