Tortilla has moving parts including a motor, so there are a few extra precautions that must be taken.
Here’s a list of do’s and don’ts to ensure Tortilla operates smoothly and efficiently.
Do
Allow Enough Space
When setting up the Tortilla Booth, it is necessary to allow a 13’ (4m) Safety Diameter to ensure nothing comes in the path of the Tortilla arm.
Not allowing enough space increases the risk of the Tortilla arm making contact with an object, and halting the capture experience.
Don't
Attach the Arm Incorrectly
When attaching the Tortilla arm, it is extremely important to make sure:
- The arm is oriented correctly
- The lock pin is engaged and locked
- The hinge knob is locked and screwed tightly
- The adjustment knob is tightened
Do
Guide Guests to the Platform
The Tortilla arm will stop at the same position after every guest, however, guests may still be confused by the lighting and arm positioning.
We recommend having a clear path set up, and guiding guests to the Tortilla platform so they do not run into lights, trip over cables, enter the Safety Diameter, or come into contact with the Tortilla arm.
Don't
Wrap the Cable Over the Booth
The AC adapter and DC power cable for the Tortilla Booth should always be fed underneath the leg bars of the base.
If the cables are fed over the leg bars, they can come into contact with the rotating arm or fully tangle in the motor mechanism.
Do
Tape the Power Cable Down
While taping your booth’s power cable down is always recommended, it is more important than ever with the Tortilla Booth.
Taping the cable down will prevent guests from tripping over the cable, as well as keep tension on the cable to prevent it from getting caught by the rotating arm.
Don't
Forget to Level the Platform
As the Tortilla arm rotates fully around the booth, and guests are standing on the booth platform itself, it is extremely important to level the platform before use.
Failing to level the platform can cause issues such as:
- The arm wobbling while it is rotating
- Damage to the Tortilla arm motor
- Platform instability
- Guests falling off the platform
